THE FLAT HOOP(IRE)
Here we are on a cool sunny day here in INDIANA for the running of THE FLAT HOOP(IRE) STAKES going 11 furlongs for 3yo’s on the firm turf course. $85,000 is up for grabs in this 8 horse field. Slight morning line favorite A NECESSARY EVIL will take on a very close field here today. |
1. BRINK by THE CLIFF’S EDGE and trained by socalsgrl has a record of 3-0-2 from 14 starts and earnings of 29,394. Hasn’t been close since stepping out of Allowance Company. This colt has been beaten over 60 lengths in his last 5 races. He will need a dramatic improvement here today to compete with these. |
2. SKY RAHY by RAHY and trained by airrav has a record of 4-1-1 from 12 starts and earnings of 151,394. His only starts on the turf was a MSW going 6 furlongs in which he was 4th and closing. Since than he has been strictly on the dirt. Distance doesn’t look to be any problem with his win 2 back going 14 furlongs in the MISSISSIPPI NINER STAKES. Look for this colt to fire a huge race today. |
3. A NECESSARY EVIL by VINDICATION and trained by hot2trot has a record of 2-6-4 from 19 starts and earnings of 154,030. Hasn’t showed that he likes this distance in his previous races. The mile and a quarter looks to be the wall for him. Still not a lot in here today and the meets #2 rider STACY is in the irons. |
4. EIGHTYSEVENTH DR(IRE) by HIGH CHAPARRAL(IRE) and trained by irishsired has a record of 4-2-3 from 13 starts and earnings of 117,385. Winner of 2 straight against Allowance Company going 12 furlongs this colt looks to tackle the next step now. He will be flying late in the stretch today. |
5. EL COMMANDANT by DEPUTY COMMANDER and trained by ozioziozi has a record of 5-9-2 from 20 starts and earnings of 172,565. This colt stopped badly in his last race beaten over 14 lengths. His previous 8 starts this year he has been no worse than 2nd. Three starts back won the 10 furlong EXCITING COZZENE. Hopefully the trainer figured out what went wrong last time and he fires back to normal today. |
6. ICON(GB) by HAAFD(GB) and trained by buzzbarn has a record of 2-8-8 from 23 starts and earnings of 48,290. This colt has been running against Starter Allowance Company and only won one of those and that was 7 starts back. Distance looks to be a problem also with this one. |
7. PERFECTA by PLEASANTLY PERFECT and trained by bellissimo has a record of 3-6-2 from 21 starts with earnings of 261,958. The lone filly in the race is coming off a 14 ½ length beating by the girls in the G1 PENSACOLA OAKS. Before that she was 2nd in an Allowance race going 9f. |
8. ONE FINE DEPUTY by SEEKING THE GOLD and trained by n2racing has a record of 6-2-1 from 13 starts and earnings of 227,659. Winner last time out in Vermont in the EIGHT BUSTER BONANZA going 12 furlongs. Finished 5th in the G1 IRISH DERBY four starts back. |
MY PICK TODAY 2-8-4 GOOD LUCK TO ALL !!! |
