Late closer but with not a lot of early speed it doesn’t bold well for him today. With an avg. SP of 102.4 over it’s last five races. Look for him to be laying well off the pace. |
2. STORM AND FUHRY out of the simond4 stables comes into this race with a record of 6-4-5 in 22 starts with earnings of 244,538. Winner of 4 of it’s past 6 races albeit against much easier company. Over it’s last 5 races he has posted a 97.6 avg. SP. Will need to fire on all after burners to catch this group. |
3. LOST EMPIRE out of the sallygee stables comes into this race ranked 7th in the division with a record of 8-5-3 in 18 starts with earnings of 375,490. This colt will lay close but with an avg. SP of 99 will need to fire big. Got back on the winning track with a win last out in a minor stakes at Colorado. |
4. WONDERBOY EAMON(IRE) out of the stalfrank stables comes into this ranked 1st in the division. With a record of 8-1-0 in 15 starts and earnings of over a 1,500,000. Over his last 5 races his avg. SP is only 96.2. This colt will be coming from way downtown and will need the speed to backup for him to get there. With the crafty Givins in the irons don’t count him out. |
5. STREAK FREE out of the doomgloom stables comes into this race with a record of 5-0-0 in 9 starts with earnings of 158,320. Another that will drop way off the pace and I can’t get to excited about his chances here today. |
6. CRYPTO FLOW out of the kyclocker stables and ranked 4th in the division. He boasts a record of 5-2-1 in 15 starts with earnings of 824,550. Another in the group that will be closing late but not sure if the 6f is this colts best distance. Will need a speed dual upfront for his late kick in the stretch. Word around the Kentucky backside is that this is the hometown boys race to win. |
7. PRIVILEGED out of the saver stables and 3rd ranked shows a record of 5-1-3 in 18 starts and earnings of 810,670. Another in the bunch that will be closing late. Winner of the G1 MORRISON MILE in his last start. I think this is another that prefers just a little more distance than today’s. |
8. BENNY BEING BENNY out of the ebryant stables and ranked 2nd has a record of 6-0-0 in 8 starts with earnings of 646,760. The lone speed in today’s field will be in front and he hasn’t been beaten at today’s distance. With Sherman in the irons look for him to have something left in deep stretch. Nice play at 9/1 odds. |
9. BARB’S LIESURE out of the leo3 stable has a record of 9-2-2 in 15 starts with earnings of 334,240. Winner two back in a minor stakes at Eastern Kentucky. Further checking and you will see that the time of that race 1:09 3/5 is 2/5 slower than BENNY. |
10. BIG POPPA PUMP out of the stone cold stables has a record of 5-3-0 in 15 starts with earnings of 366,985. Winner two back in the G2 PEA SHOOTERS and than he followed that with a 13th place finish last out. Will need to pump it up to get it done today. |
11. ERMINGTON CHARM out of the pigeon1 stables has a record of 7-1-0 in 15 starts and earnings of 225,770. You have to go back 3 races before you find a win on this ones record. Minor stakes at Argentina. SP’s don’t match up with the top ones here today. |
12. WHITE STRIPE out of the boxerwood stables has a record of 6-3-6 in 23 starts and earnings of 302,201. Has shown speed but don’t look for him to match eyes with BENNY. Hasn’t showed much of late and will need a lot of help on his side today. |
13. SAMOTH out of the jtlincoln stables shows a record of 5-2-2 in 11 career starts and earnings of 328,080. This colt is dropping back in distance today. Last 4 starts in Graded Company has been solid but at distances of 7-9f. You have to go back 7 races to see a race at today’s distance a win in Allowance. |
14. MR AP CAT BG out of the rgrg stables has a record of 9-3-4 in 21 starts with earnings of 378,620. Coming off three solid performances in Graded Stakes but at the 6.5f distance. Will be close to the lead and will look for BENNY to stop and pick up the pieces. |
