Strong Buck Sails Home In Slop

Strong Buck broke quickly in this week’s Doctor Brown Memorial, and opened up a clear lead which she held going into the home stretch. Strummer stalked in third, then made her bid, closing the gap but not quite able to get up, having to settle for second only 3/4 length back at the wire. Redmont(Ire) stalked but had nothing left, fading to fourth and allowing Big Delaware to hit the board. Rudere was never a factor, having problems handling the sloppy track.

The victory was Strong Buck’s second stakes in a row. The winning speed figure was a career high 78. She now has three wins from five starts and has bankrolled more than $100K in earnings. She is currently ranked #26 in the juvenile fillies dirt sprint division.
