The TOLERANT PEAK Cap
Welcome to
the IRL weather is rain, rain ,rain. That aside, we have on tap another
2yo Stks event this week as the main attraction. Eight young ones to the
post; to test their sprinting abilities. No heavy favorite here, and should
be a wide open affair.

1 | 9/1 | This colts last two races have the trainer realizing he may have jumped the gun a bit by trying to upgrade too fast. I believe the colt’s confidence may have been shaken. It may be awhile before he gets back on track. Jockey Nay will be no help.
2 | GRAND PROSPECTS | 3/1 |
Grand Slam colt that is back to what he does best, sprint. Fortunately for this colt, trainer didn’t try to keep giving this colt tasks he’s not capable of. Back where he belongs, he should be a real threat. Question being, will he be able to sustain his previous sprint SP’s? If so, He should be in the picture. Should be close to the pace.
3 | EARLY | 7/1 |
Colt likes the track as he broke maiden last out here in nice fashion. SP’s have increased with each race. As name suggests, did he peak, or is he ready for a barn-buster race? This punter believes he may have a mild bounce here.
4 | VOLTURNO | 6/1 |
I like the way this trainer gave this colt a tester in an allowance last out. He made sure the 1st time out win wasn’t a fluke, and placed him in a 4 horse field to boost confidence. The only problem here is he will have company up front and may be a bit shaken by that. We shall see.
5 | DEPUTY ED | 9/2 |
Broke maiden impressively 1st time out. Sire Eddington has produced fairly well so far in the sim. However, sire’s average winnings per starter don’t suggest him as being a super star. Good jock aboard helps, but as with all 1st time winners, we’ll have to see what this colt is made of. Should press for the lead.
6 | I LOVE MY GRANDMA | 5/1 |
Looks to be the fastest of this group and should be first out of the gate. I’m surprised at the 5/1 odds, but realize it has nothing to do with the colt. If there is anyway to lose this race, the jock will find it. Trainer better give the right instructions or this colt is toast, and that would be a shame.
7 | BBORING REASON( | 8/1 |
SP’s improving with each race. Broke maiden with a nice move at top track against 11 horse field. Made need more distance than this race provides. Jock is overweight and has little ability. Not good combo’s for a win.
8 | EVER SO RIGHTLY | 9/2 |
Colt has top jock aboard and plenty of speed to take all. Jock Ross usually takes no prisoners. Hopefully this colt can rate. If he can, he gets 1st prize. However, as a caution, no speed duel is advised.
