Two year old races are notoriously difficult to read at this time of year, with some still with big improvemnts to come and some reaching a plateau. Still let’s have a go, here they are in racecard order-
HARD WORKER
Has one a stakes with a 78 sp over 6.5f but has disapointed the last twice. Either wants much further or has peaked for the season and can’t figure in the top three.
UPTONOGOOD
The favourite based on finishing in the money in all his runs, he won an allowance over 6f but was closing too late over 6.5f in his graded try. Even this extra furlong may no longer be enough and he’s crying out for a mile. Has a favourites chance and will reach th emoney but not sure about the win.
IDENGOOD TIME
Cheaply bred but did put up a nice first stakes run but that was earlier in the season and he was comfortably beaten latest with a much reduced sp. Another who may alraedy have peaked for the season.
INCA GOLD
The only filly in the field, she took three runs to break her maiden but has run respectably in two stakes runs since, looking as though further was needed. This may be her trip and she has a real chance despite being the only girl.
WAR MM
Only two runs to date with sp’s much less than the others he looks set to struggle today. May not yet be an allowance horse never mind a stakes horse.
BEL AIR
Five runs with only the latest being on turf, over a mile in an allowance. That may have been his best runs and he was closing near the line- surely wants further than a mile and the drop in trip is against him. Will be closing late but no win today.
BOC INCORPORATED
One run, one win over 7f but as his pedigree suggests, this will aleady be too short a trip. Wants at least a mile already and is another who’ll be closing like a train at the end. Looks a quality horse in the making but won’t win today.
HAD TO BE HARRY
Looks a sprinter by oedigree and may find this too far. Will blast out and lead but as with his latest run look for him to get caught in the last quarter. Looks a reaL sprinting prospect though and one to note for the future,
As the only one who really looksto want this trip, i’m going with INCA GOLD to get the win, followed home by HAD TO BE HARRY and UPTONOGOOD
