Three year old blows away her elders

In the Daisy En La Lass(FR) Challenge Stakes run on Saturday, the winning horse was also the youngest horse in the field.  Constitutional(IRE), a three year old daughter by Street Cry, chased the leader all the way around the track, took the lead five furlongs from the wire and drew off to a 3 1/2 length win.  This was the fifth victory in eleven starts for the quickly improving horse trained by dawgpound.

Smarty Party, who lead most of the way held on for second, just outfinishing the late charge of Smokey’s Chant.  The race time favorite, Royal Green, finished a very disappointing  fifth in the six horse field.

Constitutional(IRE) returned a nice $16.60 for the win bet.
