Back in sunny sultry Italia again,  we bring you the Grade/Group 1 event,  The Best Of Rome.   Thirteen fillies and mares,  including four three year olds taking on their elders,  will test each other over a mile and a quarter trip on  what promises to be a firm turf course.  We have a pair of prior grade/group 1 winners (multiple winner Money Indysky & 3 year old Invincible Kitten),  a G2 winner in Trending and four G3 winners (King’s Mistress,  K’s Drunken Secret and the 3 year olds White Shadow and Lily Von Shtupp).   A purse of $500,000 is up for grabs,  as well as the starring role in the trophy presentations that will immediately follow the race.  The international field,   representing four continents,  seeks to reward their owner/trainers’ efforts with a victorious run.  So,  let’s take a closer look at the field in post position order and see if we can spotlight the contenders and maybe even pick the winner.
