Seeking Sal Tons the Best

Keryn’s Grade I winning machine, Seeking Sal, added another notch to his belt at Churchill Downs on Saturday.  The classy Seeking The Gold colt ran alongside Manifest Destiny, several lengths off Causes Wood’s torrid pace, until the top of the stretch.  At that point, jockey Garber let out a notch and Seeking Sal quickly said good-bye to the struggling Storm Cat colt who was already under an all out drive.

Sal set sail for the lead.  First he blew by Redsadky who had chased Causes Wood from the git go.  He then set his sights on the pacesetter.  Causes Wood had beaten Sal easily last time out in The Hallelujah Turf Cup.  But this was a different day and the big red colt ran right past his main rival en route to an eased up 2 3/4 lengths victory.

Redsadky edged past the tiring leader for the place with the pacesetter settling for third, just a half length better than Manifest Destiny.  Honor My Name was always outrun.  Leofrenzy SS is still running.  Seeking Sal completed the grassy mile and one-eighth in a very fast 1:47 2/5 which earned him a 112 speed rating.
