TIPTAPROCKANDROLL and READY ROAD Square Off in the ESR Tiny Bubbles Stakes

A field of nine Two Year Old Colts will enter the starting gate at the Pennsylvania racetrack in the $100,000 ESR Tiny Bubbles Stakes to be run at a distance of One Mile over the Dirt Course.

1 – MOON DOOR CADET – the cadet trained Malibu Moon colt may have been in a bit deep in his allowance debut against open company rivals two races back; beaten soundly by READY ROAD in that race, a horse that has a very strong figure in this field. Impressed in his latest when facing similar rivals at a mile; pressed at every turn; eventually giving way to a late closing challenge to finish second while posting a 90 speed figure.  Despite the improved performance in his last start, this Bay Colt won’t find it any easier this week, and may have to settle for a minor share…must not falter

2 – TIPTAPROCKANDROLL – this kingab trained Tapit colt out of the Grade 3 winning ROCK N’ ROLL BEN, Dam of the very controversial SONG OF BEN, is following in his siblings footsteps, a perfect two for two in his promising career.  The highly touted two-year old will be making his two-turn debut on Saturday, and should have little trouble handling the added distance.  Willingly in both career starts, this colt is a serious contender in this field and a horse to tab for the summer classics…dangerous

3 – READY ROAD – you can still hear the rumbling from the connections of this Quality Road colt after getting beat by a head in an Open allowance race last time out while posting a jaw dropping 97 speed figure in his two-turn debut.  Still a little green, the frankster stables immediately entered into the G3 Manor of Bashford stakes where he fell behind early, had to navigate around a full field and made a late rally to finish 7th, just 3 ¾ lengths from the lead.  Will this talented colt bounce off that 97? That’s your call…one to beat

4 – HALCYON MOON – two year old Malibu Moon colt hailing from the ruffian stables didn’t show much interest in his two-turn debut last time out after turning in a solid performance in his two year old debut.  Would take a major upset for this nicely bred colt to find a top three position in this field, but should benefit from the experience…not with these

5 – CAUTION TAPE – the summerset trained Alternation colt is making his sixth career start and first start going around two turns.  Impressive in his debut, where he rallied from mid-pack to win by a photo, the capable two year old has since been unable to repeat that performance in four successive starts.  While his speed figures have improved with every start, connections are hoping the added distance will provide a wake-up call for this colt to get the job done.  Might be in a bit deep…must show more

6 – JUST WINGING IT – two year old Harris Tweed colt racing under the colors of the dontbetonme stables is entering this field off a very impressive first start, driving to the wire to win his MSW debut while posting an eye-catching 83 debut.  The 11th offspring to the Stakes winning EXTREMELY RAZE mare, this Canadian bred colt is only the second of his siblings to win in his debut, and could very well be the first in the family to notch a black-type victory…might be this good

7 -CASINO MOJO – the casino trained Uncle Mo colt is the 9th offspring from the stakes producing mare SUSAGEP.   Impressed last time out when collaring the leaders in his second career start in a MSW race in Florida while posting an 81 speed figure, this colt has the family history to compete at the stakes level, however that may be while sprinting and I am not sure the added distance is the mile is going to improve his chances here on Saturday.  Watch for this horse turning back after this race…your call

8 -FOOLISH FIRE – the trotter trained Orb colt was a standout winner in his first two starts winning both in gate to wire fashion before giving way his last start in the Snow Squall Dirt Juvenile.  Likely to meet resistance from the front running MOON DOOR CADET, connections are hoping this talented colt can relax off the pace while stretching out for the first time…happy with part

9 -CURIEUX DE SAVOIR – the mrawesome trained Shamoline Warrior (AUS) colt is making his fourth start and first start around two turns for his new connections.  First and second in his last two starts, both over the turf course, the New Zealand bred colt returns to the dirt in an attempt to pull off a major upset here on Saturday.  Despite a good on track performance, this Bay Colt may be in over his head in this field and an average speed figure of 63 demonstrates the point. Look elsewhere

PROJECTIONS

There will be plenty of early pace in this field and I would expect MOON DOOR CADET and FOOLISH FIRE to do most of the battling leaving any other pace setters grasping for air from the chase.  The race sets up beautifully for READY ROAD to sweep past the leaders in the final yards, but he will have to outhustle TIPTAPROCKANDROLL who should get the jump on him while sitting in cover while the leaders battle.  Only a photo will tell those two apart at the wire.
