It is sad, JA. It’s one of those somebody-has-to-do-it sort of things…telling us which sires passed away, I mean.

I applaud you (and the people who do it on the forum), because it DOES keep us informed, and I’m sure it’s not an easy or pleasant thing to do. I don’t think it’s something I could write about and ….well, I like to feel good about what I write about. I’d probably wear black for a year, if I had to write these.

I do wonder about the horses who passed, and how they passed, and that’s probably a pretty morbid thing. But I just try to get this picture in my head of what the horses’ last hours were like…I try to envision seeing what they’re seeing, I guess, because they give me so much pleasure, and they’re such beautiful animals. I remember when I was very young, I thought horses never died.

So, thank you, JA, for doing what for me would be an absolutely impossible thing to do.

    Hi Emm,

Thank You for your kind words. It has impact on me most when a horse I watched with my father (who is now deceased) passes away. It’s like an end of an era for me as I get older and watch things that were around when my dad was with us disappear. But, That’s life and you keep on trucking

    JA
