SPARK OF DURHAM wins Hoserhead Juvenile

2014 Hoserhead Juvenile
Sundays Hoserhead Juvenile was a very exciting race ,Featureing four of the top seven 2 year old males on dirt . The young guns put on one hell of a show for a packed house braving the rain to see some of the best two year olds battle it out. all the pre race fan fare turned out to be worth getting wet to see . The post time favorites were SLEWGAN AWE followed by PATTERN OF LIES and THE GOLDEN HOUR with the long shot being BACK TO CATCH . there was a slight delay as I WENT WEST was acting up at the gate and ends up stumbling out of the gate and never recovered . At the break it was CANDI DE SABLE followed by BIG CITY BROWN just a head back with YIELD COMEBACK in the third postion just 3/4 back. at the half way point CANDI DE SABLE was still on the lead by 1/4 with BIG CITY BROWN still holding on to the secound spot. by then SPARK OF DURHAM had moved up to third only 1 1/2 back and slowly gaining on the leaders . heading into the stretch CANDI DE SABLE was still leading by 3/4 with SPARK OF DURHAM closeing fast and THE GOLDEN HOUR had pulled up along side BIG CITY BROWN who was slowly fading. SLEWGAN AWE who was in 6th when they hit the stretch tried to make up ground and closed within three lenths of the leaders as they got within the last 100 yards CANDI DE SABLE was running out of gas as SPARK OF DURHAM and THE GOLDEN HOUR pulled along side , CANDI DE SABLE gave one last effort to catch the two that had past him but just wasnt enough as SPARK OF DURHAM grabs the win by 1/2 lenth over THE GOLDEN HOUR and CANDI DE SABLE a lenth back with SLEWGAN AWE picking up 4th two and 1/2 back.crowd favorite and number one ranked LEGENDS BLEND was never a factor and finished 13th eight lenths back . PATTERN OF LIES trainer skunkworks just shook their heads as with trainer of LEGENDS BLEND , DOAANA had assured the press that they had the winners in their stables but niether were even close . Congrats on the MURRAY1 racing trained SPARK OF DURHAM put on a show in taking top honors . a big congrats to lenny10 with THE GOLDEN HOUR taking 2nd( knew you would be close ) . DEEPROCK with CANDI DE SABLE hanging on for 3rd.
