The HER STORMS Handicap Stakes
Post 1: 2/1 BREEZING TURTLE(IRE) Trainer: chibound2
The name of this horse in no way suggests speed to me. Even with the word breezing in it, that merely suggests to me that the turtle is moving fast for a turtle. Or in other words, still slow. But in looking at her record she is anything but slow. 6 times out for 2 wins and 2 2nd place finishes. Both wins coming from Stakes outings including one since she became a 3yo. Speeds are all in the high 80’s which could be better but looks like she will figure here if she can run that again. And theres nothing to say she won’t. Big big chance to take this out especially with the small field again.
Post 2: 20/1 ROSE O’ WAR Trainer: tuleklodge
Making her debut in Stakes racing with no wins to her name as yet. Has only had the 3 outings with her best finish a 2nd place with a SP of 75 last time out in a maiden race. Trainer is really pushing her here even with a small field. Is going to find this hard I fear and the bookies agree rating her at 20/1. Still she is an unknown really which makes it all more exciting. Really she could do anything to be honest but I think she will be last around the bend up against some of these seasoned runners already.
Post 3: 5/1 ASTRONAUT PEN(IRE) Trainer: seinfeld2
8 outings for 4 wins is an impressive 50% win ratio with all of those wins coming at the Allowance level. Is jumping up a gear here to Stakes but appears to be ready for it. Trainer has certainly not pushed her into it but rather settled and let her control her own destiny in her previous races. Should figure here you would think with good speeds as well. Place finish I think but always with the possibility to win of course. Wouldn’t be a total surprise if she did.
Post 4: 4/5 KISS OR KILL Trainer: biznes
Backing straight up after her outstanding win last week here at Qld also in the Stakes race of the day. Trained by local legendary outstanding totally fantastic just a nice guy trainer in biznes Kiss or Kill is the totally hot favourite here on track with ratings of 4/5 by the bookies. Should win easily if you believe them and going over her race history yet again this week I tend to agree. Won last week with a SP of 92 which will walk all over these entrants here if she can do it again. That’s the only question in my mind is if she can repeat the performance again backing up from last week. If she can then she has it.
Post 5: 7/2 EL FRENCH CUTIE(IRE) Trainer: frenchtart
Well this horse is making me see visions in my head I have to say!!! She is called El French Cutie, trained by frenchtart. Girls, French girls, cuties, tarts ok you get the vision. I digress. I will also shutup here!!! Another big favourite in today with a very good record of 7 outings for 3 wins. However this was all on dirt. This race is on turf. She has only run once on turf which was last time out in an Allowance race. She finished 3rd across the line and a SP of 87. That was faster than her runs on dirt. So although she is totally untried on turf she looks and I repeat looks like she could really push Kiss or Kill today. Place definitely and possible win.
