Seven Two Year Olds Get Nasty in the $65000 MALICIOUSLY SMELL Bonanza Stakes
A field of seven 2yo’s will go 7 ½ furlongs in the $65000 MALICIOUSLY SMELL Bonanza on Saturday at the Italy Race Course.
1 – OLD CLOCK(AUS) – 2yo son of Encosta De Lago(AUS) from the pick4 stable makes his first Stakes appearance off an impressive stretch running performance over a sloppy oval LTO. Hails from a sharp outfit and should benefit from added distance…might surprise
2 – BANANA EMPIRE – 2yo Empire Maker colt from the cr stable ran evenly in his first Stakes appearance LTO after an impressive debut. Dam was a Stakes winning sprinter and producer of the Stakes winning 3yo GOLDEN BANANA…it’s in the blood
3 – ROARING WELLS – 2yo son of Roar from the network9 stables makes his first start and is the first foal from SALSABIL DREAM, a top Turf performer and Stakes winner with earnings of over $300k in her career. Ambitiously placed here, look for this one to hit the green in his next start…tabbed for later
4 – YAMMERS BEAUTY – 2yo colt by Salt Lake from the yammy stable comes off an Allowance win in Ireland LTO. Speeds aren’t quite up to the rest of the field, but he has the benefit of two wins and is eligible to improve with added distance…must show more
5 – SINO FAVE(IRE) – 2yo Fasliyev(IRE) colt from the lbgong barn makes his 2nd Stakes appearance after getting caught up in a five way speed duel to finish 2nd in a game effort at 6.5 furlongs LTO while turning in an 81 SP figure for his effort. Meets no such pace in this field, and if jockey Labreche can harness some of that early energy he just might get his picture taken on Saturday…dangerous
6 – KEPLER BULL – 2yo Holy Bull colt from a Graded Stakes winning mare SADIE QUEEN, winner of over $500k in her career, and producer of Stakes winning mare KEPLER SIN(IRE) winner of over $800k in her career. Grey colt returns to the dirt after finishing 3rd at this distance over the Turf Course in Newmarket LTO. In top form for the bobo stable for his Stakes debut…in top form
7 – HOLLOFLY’S OFFICER – 2yo son of Officer for the hollofly stable makes her 4th straight Stakes appearance after an impressive maiden win over the New South Wales Race Course when he recorded an 81 SP figure in a strong stretch running performance over six furlongs.
