The KISS IN THE WIND Memorial Stakes

How ironic, strange, eerie or whatever. Kiss or Kill is the favourite for the Kiss in the Wind stakes race today.  Very small field of 4 but still class here all the same.  Local trainer in bizness with his filly Kiss or Kill has to be the major player here and almost guaranteed (if you can guarantee anything to do with horses) the win.  Good luck to all you punters out there and have a good day as usual with the Qld Racing track.

Post 1:             4/5 KISS OR KILL – (biznes)

Local and well known trainer biznes has Kiss Or Kill here today which is odds on favourite to take this very small field out at Qld.  Has been running well and in form of late with an outstanding win 2 starts back in the John De Keyser G1.  Firm turf here today but should still start at the jump as favourite.  10 races for 5 wins makes this outstanding filly a shoe in today particularly if you rate in local knowledge with local class in the trainer.  It will be all Kiss Kiss Kiss and no Kill Kill Kill at the end of this one.

Post 2:             6/1 MADRE TEDDY – (donosti)

Longshot of the race!! Haha I love saying that with such a small field and the odds at 6/1.  Yes Madre Teddy is the longshot of the race but then so is the rest of the field at these odds. Anyone can win.  Has been running decent runs of late just not quite at the speed of some of these others.   Has been surprisingly consistent though and I say surprising because a lot of these horses you see are run into the ground. (mine included). So that’s a credit to the trainer here.  Is going to need a good run and better speed than she has been producing.  Heres hoping.

Post 3:             5/2 LIGHT THE ROCK – (zjkj4)

With 4 wins from 10 starts, Light The Rock would have to be considered another contender for the win here and could push Kiss or Kill if she gets her run right. Performing well at Stakes level has appeared to prefer the smaller distances of under 6 ½ furlongs.  Last 2 outings were at 7 ½ furlongs with her last run being better than the first outing at this distance.  This one is over the mile so she will need to hold out again.  Big question mark is the distance. Going on recent form, I think she will fade in the straight. Probably better kept back at 6 ½ furlong distance but I may well be proved wrong here today. Time will tell.

Post 4:             2/1 EXTREMELESS – (mook)

4 wins from 11 starts, her last run was outstanding with an SP of 92 over the mile in Allowance company.   Another who can push for the win here, in fact any of these fillies can push for the win – lets be honest about that.  Needs that speed again and will definitely be reaching for the win.  Experience at this distance and bred and trained by mook, another class filly here.
