Civil Servant Rises From Claimers To Stakeswinner!

Former claimer Civil Servant has turned his career around under the astute conditioning of owner/trainer twopine. The 4yo Jolie’s Halo colt scored his first stakes victory this weekend in Ireland’s His Phone Stakes, under a perfect ride from jockey E. Newcomb. He broke eighth of twelve and settled in about four lengths back, patiently biding his time until the right moment while Hansom Ransom(Ire) and Its Allinthe Stars battled it out up front. Go For Strikes tried to move with him, but waited just a bit too long to make his move and had to settle for second. Swiss The Dislexic, closing from farther back in the back, got up for third. The winning speed figure was a 102, with a 1-1/2 length margin.
