Best Rock Yet(Ire) Lives Up To His Name

Best Rock Yet(Ire) put a new spin on his career this week with a victory in the G3 Simon And Simon Cap. It was not only his first graded win, but also his first stakes win. Breaking last in the field of seven, the 4yo Rock Of Gibraltar(Ire) colt was content to be alone at the back of the field through the first two calls. Father Drill and Blazing Sevens took the lead, with Night’s Desire settling in just a length behind them, but Night’s Desire was the only one with anything left in the stretch to attempt to hold off the closers. He couldn’t keep Best Rock Yet(Ire) back, but he did manage to win the photo over Tete Not Galileo(Ire) for the place. The winning speed figure was a 104.
