Xtremely Gold Xtremely Good

Xtremely Gold won her third consecutive graded stake and she did it her way with a dominating, no doubt about it drubbing of a classy field in the $125,000 Grade III IMedic.com Stake.  Positioned a bit closer to the pace than usual, Xtremely Gold stalked in the middle of the field as opposed to the rear.  When asked for speed entering the stretch turn for the second time in the mile and three quarters race, the pretty Touch Gold mare accelerated swiftly and effortlessly.  She won by three widening lengths over a very game Lemieux Again.  That one was over thirteen lengths clear of Galapagos who photoed pacesetting Slither for show honors.  The time of 3:00.2 was exceptional, considering the sloppy conditions, and earned the GRRacers’ standard-bearer a nifty 105 speed figure.  The victory was Xtremely Gold’s fifteenth in only twenty-one career starts and pushed her lifetime earnings over the two million dollar mark.
