2014 BLUEGRASS DERBY WATCH – #4
Just six weeks until the Bluegrass Derby and the traffic is building along the Derby Trail. Expect some major movement amongst the contenders as the Derby Lock races are on the horizon and the contenders are positioning for their final prep races before the Derby.
I have made some minor adjustments to the list, eliminating a couple of top twenty, who in my opinion, are non-contenders, and have searched over the horses not in the top twenty that I considered to be honest threats to make the Derby field based on their performance and next race selection…

This is one of my favorite annual series on the Bugler.
Now, if I could only get a 3yo good enough to make the list…
Well, actually I’ve had one, made the list near the bottom after winning a “Derby Lock” race a couple years ago. Ran him in the Derby, he finished up the track.
Maybe someday… (siggggggghhhhhhhhhhhh….) 🙂
