Drangonbringer wins the Grade 2 Manta Serria

Just as we thought, Dragonbringer went straight to the lead and never looked back, winning easily the Grade II Manta Serria Handicap, ran this past Saturday as the feature in Nebraska. The winner covered the seven furlong distance in a quick 1:22, earning her first graded victory for trainer confessor.

There were not much alternatives in this race, with the winner jumping from the outside post to a three lengths lead, never contested along the way and holding off the surge from Wine and Whiskey and Giant Golddigger, which both came from way back to grab the place and show spots. This trifecta returned for their backers a juicy $1,694.80. The luke-warm favorite Staked Claim tried to go with the winner in the initial stages, but then faded badly.

Dragonbringer improved her lifetime record to 16-7-3-1, with earnings of $335,995 and returned $24.50 for every $2 ticket.
