Bill Hartack G1 6.5f Dirt
Regardless of the review for your particular horse the fact that your horse is even running in this great race means that you own, train and love a full blown champion horsie that is just oozing class and can do what the mere basics of being a race horse is all about and that is RUN. A sincere congratulation to all in this race and good luck to all in making history here.
On to those little horsies…
Post 1: 15/1 HOTTEST HOTTY (rascal)
Rumoured to be the romeo of the race here, Hottest Hotty is on good odds and in fine form. Last time out couldn’t perform at G3 level but has run very good speeds in allowance company. Watch because could surprise.
Post 2: 5/1 PULLING STRINGS (danknight)
Bookies favourite for the race is Pulling Strings a 5yo horse trained by danknight. The trainer has been busy pulling strings to ensure a good barrier draw for this champion and luckily enough got it. There may well be a stewards enquiry later as to the funny dealings he has done but for now he is favourite and in a good position to win this one.
Post 3: 17/1 CYRRIUS KING (flame)
Thinks of himself as THE king and nothing less. Looks down on all the other competitors and with a SP of 115 two races ago, he looks entitled to it. Good odds for a horse that can obviously put it all together. Could be a goer here…
Post 4: 13/1 HEAT SEEKING (bigmax3)
Has been in erratic form of late with dismal failures coupled with outstanding wins and good speeds. Trainer has made a big bonfire at the finish line to allow this heat seeking missile to zero in. Chance….
Post 5: 10/1 CASTERLY ROCK(IRE) (grrm)
4yo Colt with a very classy race career and by the highly thought of (in my opinion) Giant’s Causeway (IRE). Generally likes to come from behind to smash the field and will be between a rock and hard place if he gets caught.
Post 6: 21/1 WONDERBOY DIESEL (kevoman3)
This little diesel engine has 5 wins from his last 7 outings mainly in allowance company. Last time out was a win at Stakes level and kevoman3 is hoping another jump to this level will prove he really is the wonderboy of the field.
Post 7: 9/1 ONE IN A MILLION II (desperado3)
They say that you get a champion horse once in your lifetime. Desperado3 is hoping that his one in a million chance will get up here. Failed last time out but prior to that has a very good consistent record. Place chance…
Post 8: 18/1 DANK U HOLLANDIA (oostende)
Has performed well in allowance company but has struggled to make the jump to Stakes without looking like failing. All of
Post 9: 45/1 MALICIOUS GUY (edsherr)
The bad boy of this race, in fact the 6yo is downright nasty sometimes is hoping a bit of aggression will unnerve some of the horses here. Some pre-race pushing and shoving is expected as well as the usual name calling this guy seems to be known for. Be doubtful if he can get up though.
Post 10: 19/1 ZYSOVIET (ts1442)
By Soviet Star, this 4yo colt doesn’t know a lot of English but does know how to run. Hang on a horse that can speak only broken English? Champion already! Has produced some good speeds in his career and will have to better those to win here.
Post 11: 28/1 DAY OF THE CAT (david33333)
There are people who love dogs and there are people who love cats. This trainer likes horses and cats and if this one gets up, today will be known as the day of the cat. Going on recent form that probably wont be likely but Day of the Cat and trainer david33333 arent worrying about that. They are focusing on this race and nothing else.
Post 12: 11/1 PIONEER HOLLANDIA (foxon2)
There’s no doubt this one can run with speeds of 111 in an allowance race just 3 starts back. Pioneering is all about hard work and determination something which Pioneer Hollandia and trainer foxon2 have a lot of. They will need a little luck in this race but if they get a good run they might have a chance.
Post 13: 12/1 EMPIRE OF THE SUN (joanneb)
Hoping for a bright and sunny day, Empire of the Sun a 5yo horse by General Meeting has done it before at this level. Both trainer and horse know what it takes to win and at odds of 12/1 punters think so as well.
Post 14: 32/1 TONSIL OCCY (sunrunner)
Having had his tonsils removed when he was a wee little lad, this one has an unfair advantage over the others in terms of less weight. How much do tonsils weigh anyway? At big odds, is obviously one of the long shots here but if he gets a good run just watch tonsil less fly.
Post 15: 21/1 PRINCE JERRY (crowbar)
Heir to the King is the Prince and here he is folks. A fine specimen out of Forty Niner, has been running consistently in Stakes races with mixed success. At 8 years old, the oldest in this race and still hasn’t got to be king yet. When will it be I wonder, today?
Post 16: 18/1
Comes off a win in allowance company and in good form. Enjoys a romp in the park with the kids but is a mean fighter out on the track. Don’t ever misjudge him as he will crush you on the track if he gets a chance. Place?
Post 17: 14/1 RED MEADOW (runaway99)
Preferring the low lying plains and meadows to the hilly country out west, Red Meadow is here to win and nothing else. Two starts back ran a sp of 114 and if he can reproduce that today will have a big big chance of winning.
Post 18: 20/1 FLYING WILD (ashford)
Lightly raced, this old fella along with his trainer are a little wild at heart. Rumoured to be hosting a huge party for all on the night prior to this great race some could argue that’s hardly the best preparation. Still, that’s the way these two operate and we will just have to wait to see what happens on the track.
Post 19: 20/1 PROVEN AWESOME (wer4fun)
26 races for 13 wins means this horse really is living up to his namesake. Although most of his wins are at allowance company this horse knows what its like to cross the finish line first. Some say heart isn’t everything but I say it is. Who knows with this one…
Post 20: 15/1 WONDERBOY DJ (wonder2)
Another horse who thinks he is the Wonderboy of the race but lets be honest doesn’t even compare to the REAL wonderboy. Nevertheless at 15/1 and trained by wonder2 he is definitely a threat here and could surprise the more fancied runners. Get your money on him…
