Another great time honoured race on this spectacular day of racing. We are featuring a fantastic international field of 14 elite dirt horses, trained by some of the best trainers in the game, the Grade 1 Breeders Bowl Distaff on a fast dirt surface over a distance of one mile and one eighth (1800 meters), restricted to 3 year olds and older, fillies and mares. The Breeders Bowl races are among the most prestigious races on the Sim calendar and we wish all runners the best of luck in running and may the best horse win. Now let’s have a look at the runners.

TOO MANY SONGS (blazsadcfo – Blazing Saddles) 25 runs, 9 wins $656,733. announcement.jpg
My No 3 selection. This beautifully bred 5 year old roan mare by Unbridled’s Song is in fine form, winning 2 of her last 4 starts, 1 at G1 level and 1 G2, and seems to have an affinity with this track. 4 runs back she won the 8.5F G2 The My Lady on this track running a super SP 111. A 5th place finish followed in the 9F G1 The Very Vane, again on this track running a respectable SP 107. 2 runs ago she finished 2nd in the 8.5F G2 The Clemente here, running a slick SP109. Her final lead up race culminated in a stylish win in the 8.5F G1 The Bra Snap, drawing clear with a SP 106, again on this track. This ultra-consistent mare looks cherry ripe, on her favourite track, drawn the coveted 1 gate and to be ridden by M Kelly. She looks to have an undeniable chance. ODDS 8/1

SOFT SHELLY (bluecrab – Pastures of Green) 14 runs, 8 wins $585,280. announcement.jpg
My No 5 selection. Another beautifully bred 4 year old chestnut filly by Giant’s Causeway, has won 3 of her last 4 starts, 2 at G1 level and 1 G2, and has won at this track over this distance. 4 runs back she won the 8.5F G2 Fort Lostinthewoods Misery Stakes at Arlington (America) on dirt running a super SP 112, followed by another win in the 9F G1 The Very Vane, here, running a slick SP109. 2 runs back she won the 9F G1 Go For The Gold Stakes at New York on dirt, hot footing it to a SP 111. Her final lead up run she contested the 9F G1 The Great Dame in New York finishing 3rd, running another slick SP 109. Ideally drawn in gate 2 and to be ridden by O Parker. Has a great chance of success. ODDS 8/1

SWANSEA TRIUMPH (swanseared – Empire State Racing) 14 runs, 8 wins $474,774. announcement.jpg
My No 2 selection. The trend continues here with yet another superbly bred 4 year old chestnut filly by Montjeu. This gal has won 7 of her last 9 starts, 1 G1 and 2 G3’s. She has run some blistering times but has not run on this track. 5 runs back she sizzled to a win in the 8F G3 Sabian Hcp in Florida (America) on dirt running SP 116. She followed that up with a win in the 8.5F G3 Dirtydirtydishragyou Stakes in Iowa (America) on dirt running a super SP 110. She then ran two 3rd place finishes in the 8.5F G2 MD Distaff in Maryland (America) on dirt and the 8F G2 Snownut Hcp on dirt in Spain running identical SP 107’s. Her final lead up run resulted in slashing win in the 8.5F G1 Super Filly Hcp in New York (America) on dirt running SP 113. This filly has really found her niche since switching to dirt. She will be ridden by P Bangs from the favourable 3 gate. A slight querry at the 9F, although being by Montjeu she should relish it. Will be there at the wire. Great chance. ODDS 7/1

AUTOBAHNS (stormgold – All – Stars Racing) 21 runs, 8 wins $653,412. announcement.jpg
This 4 year old chestnut filly by Quality Road has won 2 of her last 7 starts and has been placed at this track. Her last win came 4 runs back in the 8.5F G1 Orange Blossom at Arkansas (America) on dirt running a super SP 112. Her form has tapered off slightly since. 3 runs back she ran 5th in the 8.5F G1 Steadhemp Hcp in New York (America) on dirt running SP 107, followed by an average 6th place finish in the 8.5F G2 The Clemente at this track running SP 103. Her final lead up resulted in a fair 6th in the 8.5F Superfilly Hcp running SP 107. To be ridden by B Vanhorse from gate 4. Will have to improve to beat these. ODDS 10/1

AFTER SCHOOL (epitome) 13 runs, 4 wins $705,147. announcement.jpg
This 3 year old brown filly by Street Sense has run 1st or 2nd at her last 9 starts, winning 2 of her last 5 runs. She is a winner at this track. 3 runs back she ran 2nd in the 10F G1 Players Club National Oaks in New York (America) on dirt running a nice SP 107. She again ventured to New York at her next start for an easy win in the 10F G1 Birmingham Stakes running a slick SP 108. Her final lead up run resulted in a slashing 2nd place finish in the 9F G1 The Great Dame in New York once more, running a hot SP 114. She jumps from gate 5 with H Harzheim the pilot again. Must be given an outside chance. ODDS 16/1

UNION JACK FLYER (poowillck-EAAA Racing) 13 runs, 4 wins $705,147. announcement.jpg
My No 4 selection. This regally bred 6 year old chestnut mare by A.P. Indy is the most accomplished runner in the field. She is a winner on the track and ran 5th in this race last year. She has won 2 of her last 5 starts. Both wins coming in Allowance races. 3 runs back she ran 2nd in the 9F G1 The Very Vane at this track running on well to post a SP 109. She followed that with a 5th place finish, again running on solidly, in the 9F G1 Go For The Gold Stakes in New York (America) on dirt running SP 109. Her final lead up resulted in a 2nd place finish in the 9F G3 Chicago Matron Hcp in Illinois (America) on dirt, running on nicely to post a SP 109. To be ridden Z Ayya from the 6 gate. This mare has been ticking over nicely and looks ready to run a big race. ODDS 7/1

FINAL EXIT (dixiedotco – Pastures of Green) 22 runs, 12 wins $3,815,180. announcement.jpg
This well-bred 4 year old brown filly by Dynaformer won this race last year, hoping to go back to back. She has won 2 of her last 4 starts. 4 runs back she won the 8F G1 Steadhemp Hcp in New York (America) on dirt running a slick SP 110. That win was followed by a 4th place finish in the 9F G1 Go For The Gold Stakes in New York running an identical SP 110. 2 runs back she ran an average 7th in the 8.5F G1 Superfilly Hcp in New York running SP 103. For her final lead up run, to prime her for this race, connections ran her in an Allowance race over 9F, again in New York, winning easily posting a SP 101. Last year’s winning jockey has jumped back into the saddle hoping for history to repeat itself. She jumps from the middle of the field in gate 7. The big question, is she as good as last year? I like the way this filly has been prepared and am expecting a top run from this quality mare. ODDS 12/1

PREMEDICATED (seedly2) 18 runs, 6 wins $1,031,122. announcement.jpg
This 4 year old grey filly by Zamindar has 3 wins to her credit from her last 5 starts. She has had 1 unplaced run at this track. 5 runs back she won the 9F G3 The Route Sixty Six in Illinois (America) on dirt running a very fast SP 111. She followed that with a great 2nd place finish in the 8.5F G2 The Golfer’s Wager in Ontario (Canada) on dirt running a super SP 112. She won again at her next start in the 8.5F G2 First State Distaff at Delaware (America) running a sizzling SP 113. 2 runs back resulted in a 4th placing in the 8.5F G1 Superfilly Hcp in New York (America) running SP 108. Her final lead up run she was flown to Norway winning the 9.5F G2 King Classic on dirt running SP 102. To be ridden by H Ross from gate 8 this filly must be given an outside chance. ODDS 10/1

LUCKY’S NEGLECT (winorplace-Universal Racing Club) 18 runs, 7 wins $1,051,275. announcement.jpg
My No 1 selection. This lovely 3 year old brown filly by Pivotal has won her last 2 starts and has been placed on this track. 3 runs back this filly ran 3rd in the 9F G1 The Very Vane here, running home powerfully posting a smart SP 108. She then won the 8.5F G3 The Jersey Oaks in New Jersey (America) on dirt running a fast SP 110. Her final lead up run resulted in another sizzling win in the 8.5F G2 Cotton Hcp in Pennsylvania (America) on dirt going faster again, this time running SP 111. To be ridden by big race jockey F Gossett from the 9 gate. This filly excites me and will make her my outright pick, BIG VALUE, put the money on the nose. ODDS 14/1

LUCK’YS FTW (naracing – Universal Racing) 18 runs, 5 wins $463,511. announcement.jpg
Firstly we must congratulate the trainer for getting 2 runners into this time honoured race, a fantastic effort. This beautifully bred filly by Street Cry has been placed at this track. 3 runs back she ran a poor 6th at stakes level in the 10F Race Series for asr 11* in New York on dirt running SP 100. She improved big time next time out running 2nd in the 8.5F G1 Superfilly Hcp in New York running a slick SP 110. Her final hit out resulted in a very smart win in the 8F G2 Good Times Hcp in Dubai (UAE) on dirt, charging home to run a hot SP 111. This filly, to be ridden by J White from gate 10, looks to peak at the right time, must be given a strong winning chance. ODDS 9/1

SARATOGA FLING (chloedawg3 – GR Simsters) 15 runs, 6 wins $367,111. announcement.jpg
This 4 year old brown filly by Bernardini won here 5 runs back in the 8.5F G1 The Santa Marina Hcp on dirt running a super SP 111. That was followed by a fair 6th in the 8.5F G1 Orange Blossom in Arkansas (America) on dirt running SP 105. Next start she ran a close 3rd in the 8.5F G1 Steadhemp Hcp in New York on dirt running a fast SP 110. 2 runs back resulted in an inglorious 11th in the 9F G1 Go For The Gold Stakes, again in New York. She wound up her preparation with much improved 3rd place finish, running on strongly in the 8.5F G1 Superfilly Hcp in New York running a slick SP 110. Regular jockey O Brim will steer her from gate 11. Outside chance for mine ODDS 11/1

FILOBEEL (stickpin10) 14 runs, 8 wins $474,774. announcement.jpg
This 3 year old brown filly by Teofilo has won 2 of her last 4 starts, 1 being at this track. 5 runs back she ran 3rd in the 9F G1 Bluegrass Oaks in Kentucky (America) on dirt running a strong SP 108. She followed that up with a fantastic win in the 8.5F The Los Angeles Oaks here, running an impressive SP 111. 3 runs back she contested the 9F G1 Sister Hen Stakes in New York (America) on dirt, finishing a lacklustre 8th running SP 101. 2 runs back she ran a nice 4th in the 8F Wolf Of Queensland Dirt Filly Mile in New Jersey (America) on dirt running a pleasing SP 108. Her final prep run resulted with a great win in the 8.5F G3 South Bend Oaks in Indiana (America) running a slashing SP 110. Another filly in form to be ridden by M Wallace from out wide in gate 12. Outside chance. ODDS 12/1

WISTER ROAD (given2 – GR Simsters) 18 runs, 7 wins $538,314. announcement.jpg
Good on you Dan, great to see the Aussie Flag flying with this beautifully bred 4 year old brown filly by the great Redoute’s Choice. She is a last start winner but has yet to be tested on this track. 3 runs back she ran a nice second in the 9F G2 D-Day Distaff in West Virginia (America) on dirt running SP 106. She followed that up with a 3rd place finish in the Go For The Gold Stakes in New York (America) on dirt running a fast SP 110. She wound up her preparation with a win at stakes level in the 9.5F Cumberland Dirt Mare Memorial in Arizona (America) on dirt running SP 107. Drawn wide out in gate 13 and to be ridden by N Lawton, this filly will need luck but all the Aussies will be in your corner. Must be an outside chance, good luck. ODDS 9/1

KWIN TIZ (spinecho – Empire State Racing) 12 runs, 5 wins $1,255,710. announcement.jpg
This 3 year old brown filly by Tizway has won 2 of her last 5 runs. She has had success on this track but in sloppy conditions. 5 runs back she ran on strongly to win the 8.5F G2 Fantasia Hcp in Arkansas (America) on dirt running SP 104. She followed that with another win in the 9F G1 Bluegrass Oaks in Kentucky (America) on dirt running a very fast SP 110. 3 back she produced a 2nd place finish in the 9F G1 Sister Hen Stakes in New York (America) on dirt running SP 105. She then ran 3rd on sloppy dirt in the Eddie Haskell Stakes in New Jersey (America) running a fast SP 109. Her final lead up run she ran on strongly for 2nd in the 8.5F G2 Cotton Hcp in Pennsylvania (America) running another fast SP 109. F Oxon has climbed back on for this very important assignment but unfortunately has drawn the car park in gate 14. Will need a ton of luck but must be an outside hope. ODDS 16/1
