Could any of these 5 run up BARB’S BLUFF’S track?

5 talented fillies go for glory

The Barb’s Bluff Special is the feature race on Florida’s Card over 6 Furlongs on a Fast Dirt Track. It is for 3yo Fillies only and has a high purse of $95,000. It’s a 5 horse field full of talented horses so lets get cracking.

Irishpony’s Britt D Wonder Dog is by Cozzene and is 6/1. With B Boggie aboard this filly has 1 win from 9 starts and $23,000 in earnings. In her 3rd and 4th starts she came up with two decent Maiden Special Weight placings against pretty weak fields on dirt. It took 7 starts for her to get her first win and she did it in a Maiden Special Weight by 1 ¼ lengths forcing through the pack from the back of the field. She posted a 77 Speed Figure closing through the 10 horse field. Ran 2nd in a Allowance last time out with 4 horses in the field by 2 ¼ lengths with a 64 Speed Figure. Seems to like Florida as this will be her 4th start in Florida and has already ran in North Florida. I think this filly will struggle in the grade and she should be kept in allowances.

tombstone’s Bullet For Nany is by Red Bullet and is 7/2 3rd pick. The 3 year old filly has very good jockey V Gardner aboard and has 1 win from 6 starts but a load of placings with $80,000 in earnings. This consistent filly has never ran worst then 3rd only did that in her first start and it has been first or second in her next 5 starts. Debuted in a Owner Restricted Maiden Special Weight running 3rd by nearly 2 lengths with a 70 Speed Figure. In her next 2 starts she ran 2nd in Maiden Special Weight’s by a nose and ¾ length with respective 76 and 77 speed figures. It took 4 starts to break her maiden but she did it well winning by 1 1/4 lengths in the 9 horse field with a 77 Speed Figure. Her last two starts were Stakes over 7 Furlongs where she ran 2nd in both of them by 1 ¾ lengths and 3 ½ lengths. Both of those were short fields like this so she should have a chance here. Seems to prefer 6 to 7 Furlongs and will run well in that banner.

Darylboalt’s Cork Your Cry Hole is by freshman sire from last year Tapit and is 6/1. This 3 year old filly has one of the top jockeys A Darling aboard. In 8 starts she has had 2 wins and $100,000 in earnings. She is ranked 101 in the Dirt Sprint Ranks. In debut she won a Maiden Special Weight by ¾ length with a 74 Speed Figure. The trainer went straight to stakes then and has had 7 straight stakes in a row. In her 2nd start she ran 2nd but it was her 3rd start where she won a Stakes by 1 ¼ lengths with a 73 Speed Figure in a 4 horse field. After that she ran 3 consecutive 3rd’s In small field not very impressively. In her last 2 starts she has ran 2nd in short field Stakes with 67 and 75 Speed Figures except losing by 2 and 4 lengths. Has never ran worst then 3rd even with 7 Stakes Races but I still don’t think she is very strong.

Cronberg2’s Dowhatudobest is by Best Of The Bests and is at 3/1 2nd choice. The filly has W Case in the saddle and is 1 win from 4 starts with $20,000 in earnings. Her only win was in a MSW on debut winning by 1 ¾ lengths in a full field with a 74 Speed Figure. She followed that up with a 2nd in a Allowance with a 82 Speed Figure falling short by around a length. Last Time out she ran well running 2nd in a Allowance by 1 ¾ lengths with a 80 Speed Figure. She is a nice little sprinter but with the weak field she could have a play in this field.

Bigspruce’s Ez Pz Lemonsqueezy is by Lemon Drop Kid and is the clear 4/5 favourite in the short field. The 3yo Filly has E Rickret aboard and has 2 wins from 6 apperances. In debut she won a Maiden Special Weight by 1 ¼ lengths with a 80 Speed Figure. She got tested next start running 10th in the G1 Getaway Stakes. She won a Allowance in her 5th start by ¼ lengths with a 83 Speed Figure. Last start she ran 3rd in a Allowance by ¼ length with a 87 Speed Figure. Looks the best in the race and I think will win.

Not the strongest field but I think the winner will be Ez Pz Lemonsqueezy and the rest could be anyone’s.
