Inexperience may prove needless for Ted
As we travel to Georgia we are going to witness possibly one of the slowest stakes races in history. Get this, Sabretooth Ted is at 26/1, just won his maiden, and will possibly pull this off.
SABRETOOTH TED – The youngest horse in the field here has the longest odds. I would imagine tcopyright is surprised at such long odds after a change of surface for an explosive maiden win in his 3rd start and wasn’t really pressured. Stepping up to a stakes race is a big decision after a maiden and lets hope that tcopyright doesn’t join the butcher boys with this one.
WAY TOO HAPPY – This 6 year old horse is the benchmark for this race. He slipped up 2 starts ago but ignore that because he has hit some great form. He will be heading towards the later part of his career with nearly a quarter of a million dollars and will add to that here.
MEETBALL(GB) – This colt is a very unpredictable runner. He will run very quickly then turn around next race with a shocker. At 3/1 this is anyones guess but if honeyj can have him in peak condition then he is capable of running quicker than any of the others.
LOSING PRIVILAGES(AUS) – An aussie colt here who struggled on Delpenn day. Having had just over a months break after that he will strip fitter and will be looking to use some stakes experience to get him over the line. Flying Spur is a bloody good aussie sire that I have a lot of respect for.
KING PHYL(GB) – A very respectable trainer but a very unpredictable runner. This 4 year old colt needs to use his stakes experience to blow away this inexperienced field. With a 25% win rate in some very tough races, bi1lgulch will be looking to take full advantage of the equal favouritism.
AMERICAN TOUCH(FR) – Looked ok as a 3 year old but yet to measure up as a stakes quality 4 year old. Hopefully Burlington can prove me wrong but I just don’t have enough respect for French horses, not because I’m racist, just because they haven’t shown me anything after 2 ½ years of playing the sim.
