The Whodini Shootout Grade II
1. 101071 BRUNDLE HOLLANDIA oostende3 8/1. A 3yo filly by Officer. She has turf sprinted 5 times out of 7 races. Breaking her maiden in a allowance then winning three straight stakes before coming in 6th in a G1 last time out. Her 88sp two races back with that stakes win looks good but her 2 worst races were Graded races, so I have to say I don’t think she can win this.
2. 42233 GO NOW bilmill 17/1. A 3yo filly by Hennessy. She won her first 3 races on turf, and then got 2nd and 1st in two consecutive stakes. She has though faltered in her last 3 stakes races and with her SP’s being mid 70’s, it doesn’t look good for her unless she regains her form from couple races back.
3. 100796 LARGE MARGE(IRE) socko 7/1. A 3yo filly by Theatrical. Her mare was a sprinter and the trait has passed on as this filly lone 2 starts at routing have been bad but her 5 sprints all on turf have been good running in the top 3 in all of them. Her Sp’s though are on the low side with the highest being a 84. She has been running better with each start, however I don’t think she can in this.
4. 96420 TORCH SONG gradetwo 6/1. A 3yo filly by Woodman. Her dam was a dirt router. This filly has run in only 1 turf sprint which was a stakes which she won easily by 2 lengths, but looking at the three other horses she beat in that race, they were a cpu horse and horse who hasn’t even won and a claimer. SO I can’t say for sure if she’s that good sprinting. She has however run in 3 turf routes all graded stakes, winning a GIII with a huge 89 SP. She might be able to do well here if she likes sprinting.
5. 102585 ONLY A KISS aalusive 11/1. A 3yo filly by Woodman. She started out he career in a turf stakes and won. She went on to win another stakes and did badly in the other 3 she was in. She is undefeated at this 6f distance, her SP’s have been average but I think she is capable of getting better with only 5 career races so far. Will probably finish in the top half of the field.
6. 56271 GERMANIC BLUEPRINT redbirduk 36/1. A 3yo filly by Perugino. She doesn’t probably have a stakes horse pedigree if you see her, but has won one already and placed in a Grade 3 race. She has however not even hit the 80 SP mark. So I doubt she can do much here, worth noting though that she seems to run 3 good races then 2 bad then 3 good. Since her last two were bad, the next three should be better?
7. 97408 IMPOSSIBLE PROJECT(IRE) heythere 12/1. A 3yo filly by Not Impossible. After a failing effort on dirt, she tried turf as a maiden in a allowance with a 2nd place finish, then broke her maiden in her next starts on turf which was a stakes. However it was with a very low 66 SP which didn’t say if she was good or not beating that kind of field. She has been improving though with each start. She has 3 stakes wins from 5 tries. However since her highest SP is only a 82, I doubt she can make any noise in here.
8. 68491 GREEN AGAIN(IRE) bbudgies 12/1. A 3yo filly by Desert Style. She started out good in her first two tries on turf, and then threw in a clunker in a allowance. However since that race she has run in three consecutive sprint stakes with two 2nd’s and a 3rd all with above 80 SP’s. if she can continue to get better and run like she has in her last few I think she can pull of the upset or come on the board.
9. 98253 SKIP THE CAT slewsback 6/1. A 3yo filly by Skip Away. Started out mediocre in dirt sprinting guessing the owner thought she would be a dirt horse since her mare was dirt horse with 100 starts and close to $4 mil earned. After her first two starts she switched to turf and has run 1st or 2nd in all 8 turf sprints except one. Her Sp’s were decent but then she got a 89 last time out in a G1 coming in 2nd so she looks like she can win this.
10. 32227 MALINDI escapade 6/1. A 3yo filly by A.P. Indy. After her first 5 starts and all being average dirt races, she switched to turf and has raced three times on it. She won a allowance, then two straight stakes, the last winning by a easy 2 lengths however in both stakes race she only faced off against 3 other horses. I do think her SP’s with a 85 and 87 are still good and she can make the top 3 here if she continues to improve.
11. 100187 TALE OF SEATTLE irishgal 7/1. A 3yo filly by Phone Trick. Has 8 career races all sprinting, 7 which were on turf. In those 7 races her record is a impressive 7(6,1,0). Her highest turf SP is a 84 as well, and even though she has that nice record she hasn’t been facing many horses in her races. Not counting her MSW race, in her 6 other turf races all, which are stakes, she raced against a average of 5 horses per a race. Facing much better company today, could pull of a win if she really is that good.
12. 4149 DANCIN RANSOM socalsipe 13/1. A 3yo filly by Red Ransom. Won her maiden race very easily by 3+ lengths. She has been running ok in stakes race so far, even got 4th in A GI at 8f. She seems to be improving with each start. Besides her MSW race running at this distance two other times in stakes she lost both by 5+ lengths. Chances of winning aren’t looking good.
13. 42273 CAROLWOOD PACIFIC alphonso 24/1. A 3yo filly by Aldebaran. Maid her maiden debut in a turf stakes with a win, but with only a 66 SP. Hasn’t won in 6 races since, her SP’s are about low 70’s, and that jus doesn’t cut it here to do anything.
14. 35314 SO COLD(BRZ) clk2000 17/1. A 3yo filly by Siphon. After running her first 6 races on dirt, she just started to race on turf in her last and two back. In her first turf start, she won a 5.5f stakes with a 80 SP, then went to win a allowance in her last race. If she can continue this success she might be able to come in the top half of the field.
