Fleet Overture Does It In Style

The Country Bumkin Stakes went by without a hassle for Fleet Overture and connections as predicted in the race preview.

They jumped away in a good line and from the outset 3 horses stamped their authority on the race. Teutonic Terror went out hard early and held a good early lead, Fleet Overture settling just behind him and getting a good run by the jockey while Edgy filled 3rd spot.

As the 3rd furlong passed by Fleet Overture began to unleash fury and decided enough was enough, almost without effort he changed gear and moved up to take the lead and it was game over for the others. He took it in fine style by a length from Edgy who ran on well while Teutonic Terror ran out of gas but hung on for third.

Triumphal March, Bittersweet and Scruffy Murphy(IRE) were never in the race and filled the minor positions.
