Mitenpower Sends Out The Third Place Horse of The Breeder’s Bowl Turf Again

We have an easy field to handicap here in CA, Race ID 2720.0110 : The Warm Coral Special Stakes   All horses, 3 years old and up, Two miles on the Firm Turf Course, Purse : $110,000, including the third place horse of the Breeder’s Bowl Turf earlier this year. It is the first of two big races on the card and is sure to be exciting. There are horses who can come from a dozen back at the half, some who can set suicidal fractions, some who can pounce from the middle, and one or two who can all three. Let’s take a look at these horses  who think they can go 2 miles.

1. Worldfly’s Wells– This horse in my opinion is the only one close enough to even have a chance against A Rub Of Irish. This horse will go out for the lead and try to set slow fractions although there could be a few others horses who will want to fight him which would be the perfect setup for Irish. If he gets loose on the lead however, I think that it will be tough to catch him today.

2. Queenie Remembered- Not going to be that far ahead of Strong Science at the beginning but will be chasing half the field the whole race and will not come in the top three for sure. He probably won’t like the 5 furlong stretchout and the class jump from Alw-42500 all the way to a stakes race. Inconsistent efforts and constant distance changes make it hard to back this one

3. Pyromaniacal- This horse has three different personalities. You decide, speed, come from behind, or in between? Nevertheless, this horse is even slower than Tassominatot G, and is probably just trying to get 3 bp just for racing in a stakes race. Next horse…….

4. Symbol Khan- Experience is always good in these types of races but this one hasn’t had a good race in years and is too slow.

5. Strong Science- Although this horse is the son of one of my 5 favorite horses of the decade, Empire Maker, I still can’t make a good enough possible scenario for this one winning. This is the deepest closer in the race, like Empire Maker was, and should miss by a length or two on the line.

6. King Glen(GB)- Way too slow to compete and extra distance will kill this speedball. My money aint going on this horse.

7. A Rub Of Irish– Flying In From New Hampshire all the way to California is this grey 4 year old colt looking for a tenth win in 26 starts. This horse is going to be taken a bit back at the start and then wait like a cat to pounce on mice. This field seems a bit easier than the last field this horse faced and should be an easy winner going away here.

8. Tassominator G(IRE)- Is going to be with A Rub of Irish early but will at the half be gasping for air. This race is a level or two too high for this homebred of ngng. Best SP’s are not even level to the worst of A Rub Of Irish and Worldfly’s Wells, no shot at top two.
