Pigeon’s Not Afraid To Ruffle Some Feathers
The Grey Croc Bonanza has attracted a field of 6 fine 2 year olds who will travel 6 furlongs on the turf for a prize of 45k. Of interest is Ermington Zabeel on debut.
Let’s take a look at the field…..
Brahm’s Avenger smashed her rivals last start to notch up her second career victory. Still can’t see a pattern for what she did, maybe vigilante sent out some different riding instructions to her jock which paid dividends. If she can repeat that effort she’s in with a big show here but her runs before last start were just ok.
Merge is a Dixieland band filly who has done very well in her short career to date. Went horribly wrong last start and here’s hoping kaif015 has corrected that. She likes to go hard early and providing everything is in order here there’s no reason she can’t give this a shake.
Ermington Zabeel (IRE) is on debut and for this you got to give pigeon some credit for this ballsy move. Obviously the trainer has seen something in this gal and believes she is up to the task today, at worst he will earn a spot in the butcher boys. Her father was a great runner who was only retired to produce this filly some 3 to 4 weeks back. Good luck pigeon.
Border Treaty is rated a 7/1 chance for this and hails from the opimulder barns. She has drawn the 4th gate and from there should be given a good run. Not a bad prospect but her form doesn’t read well enough for this, think she will need to be at her very best to get the money.
Kill’s The Pain (IRE) will likely win this in a canter. Looks to be a machine in the making. This Giant’s Causeway filly has won 4 from 5 starts and has won her last 3 starts with ease. She’s certainly going to take some beating here and goes into the race as the one to beat.
Dayfly’s Kid is a nice Dayjur filly. She looks an absolute treat and is in great form. Is one of the better fancied runners and will be right there at the finish. Never got going last time out but her runs before that very solid. Right in the mix here.
