Jungle To Come From The Skies
Jungle To Come From The Skies
The Graphic With Jumbo Memorial Stakes has attracted 7 high quality runners to Epsom this weekend. It looks on paper to be a wide open affair in which they will travel 1 mile and a 16th on the grass for a purse of $80,000.
Let’s take a look at the field…..
Tuff Stuff is a 2 year old colt from the super27 barns and is rated a 9/2 chance here. This fellow closed very strongly last time out for a good 5th and will no doubt be running home strongly yet again. He is against some more favoured opposition here though and whether he will be able to rope them in remains to be seen.
Heskey is a Hennessy colt and will be one of the hardest to hold out here. Ranked 94 in this division Heskey has notched up 2 wins from his 8 races to date and his stakes form is solid. In good form, top jock aboard, no reason why can’t go on with it here.
Raising Hell is a 2 year old colt from the lazyriver barns. The Lemon Drop Kid campaigner is rated a 3/1 chance for this and easy to see why on the back of his huge run last time out where he was an unlucky 2nd. If he can repeat that run this time in he’ll prove very hard to beat.
Keelie’s Gone West has drawn barrier 4 for this and from there will be given a good run. He’ll step up to the middle distance for the first time in his so far brief career but his runs on the turf so far suggest he’ll be up to this. He’s a gutsy little front runner who will likely gun for the lead again but maybe the extra distance could bring him unstuck? A chance.
Grey Stormy Day (IRE) is stepping up in class here off the back of a handy MSW win. The sp wasn’t overly hot and he’ll likely find the going tough here where he will run into some classier opposition than what he’s used to. Others look preferred.
Tears Of Autumn (IRE) is a more than capable turf sprinter who has so far not yet raced middle distance. The Daylami colt hails from the olympiafie barns and has 4 insd from 8 career stars and with the way he closes will only find distance to his liking. Ignore the rank he holds in this division, this guy will be there at the end for sure.
Jungle Sky completes our field and looks a treat. This Sky Mesa colt is rated a 3/1 chance for this and has been absolutely flying of late. Dominated his last start over 8 furlongs where he flew home like there was no tomorrow and I rate him top pick for this. Tough to beat and should fly again.
Summary: Jungle Sky should take this in a race with a couple of good chances. Should be a top race.
