The Duetoburst Stakes-Newmarket

Two Horse Race or an Unsuspected Win?

The Duetoburst Stakes is being held in Newmarket. A seven furlong, Grade I race, held on a turf surface for two year olds. The prize? Seven-hundred-fifty-thousand dollars.

A surprise entry was made by cjt2, entering Jame Boages, a two year old brown filly with odds at (18/1). Despite her last race, crossing the finish line in eighth place, three races before, she won them in style. Beating the fields at a length and a half or more. Though she was against a very small field of fillies, she is trying her luck against the colts.

The Duetoburst Stakes contains a few match ups amoung the colts of the field. Wonder Lawn, at odds of (9/1) beat Stravaganza in The Bearly With Zach Stakes, holding the lead at one length and a fourth. Danlovesjenny, in post number eight, took third against Japans Last Hope in The L’Rods Alphabet Challenge, and in The Quil Doll Special, Sak the Yak set the time of one minute and eleven seconds flat, while taking first over Testing, a two year old, brown colt.

Heading into the main stream of the field, Raktavija in post number one, and Assertion, in post number eleven, including five other two year old from the field, won their last stakes race.

TBone, trained by P Riggs, doesn’t hold much hope for winning The Duetoburst Stakes. As for Vermont Victory, he is at (9/1) odds with L Sullivan on top, coming into the race.

Two horses to bring your attention to, are the number four horse, Seven Lives, trained by putitback, and Vindictive Tales, the number fourteen horse, trained by gallorette.

Seven Lives is going into this race with five races under his hooves, three wins, and two places, making him the only colt, other then the favorite, who has been in the money so far, in the whole of their racing career. Vindictive Tales, on the other hand, is our speed demon colt in this race, with I Smith on top. He topped 89 in his last race, winning The UQG Sprinter Challenge.

The favorite of the field, is none other than Sky Hero, trained by lostcode, and ridden by T Cooper. This chestnut colt is in post position number two and at odds of (5/1), standing a good chance at getting out in the lead and taking home another win.

Can Sky Hero make it three for three, or will the speedy Vindictive Tales run away with the win in this years Duetoburst Stakes. Find out this weekend.
