Raider Property Owns It’s All YOur Fault Stakes
The Grade II It’s All Your Fault Stakes lacked many entrants with early speed, so jockey B Bennington aboard the consistent Holiday Hostage thought he had a good chance to steal the race with a swift early move from the outside post. Entering the stretch it looked like the strategy would pay off as he led the field by four lengths.
Behind Holiday Hostage for most of the race was a tight pack of six, but only Penamacor2’s Raider Property was able to run down the leader, easily taking home the winner’s share of the $250,000 purse. Not long ago, he had a streak of five stakes wins in seven starts, and he looks like he may be starting another such tear.
Holiday Hostage finished second, continuing a long streak of finishing in the money.
The next six horses made a blanket finish that took a while to sort out. Stereotypical Cat ran a very nice race to finish third. He was not near the early leaders and had to make his way through tight quarters for the show money.
Favored Van Halen was unable to find his rally and finished tenth. Second choice Silver Victory lost the show photo and the fourth placing, too.
With the two favorites finishing out of the money, the $2 exacta paid $187.50, and the trifecta paid $2,205.00.
