Most powereful gun in the world … a Colt

 The ATLANTA TWILIGHT Challenge

 Seven and half furlongs
 Fast Dirt
 $70,000
All horses, 3 years old and up

Welcome to “The Atlanta Twilight Challenge Stakes” for +3yold open over 7 1/2 furlongs on dirt.  Punters are faced with a modest field of 7 starters, but the quality of these horses is awesome. Most of the horses are running in the 100+ speed range, and folks make no mistake this race will produce a fast winning time. The horses in this race that are consistently running +100 are: Exbourne’s Escape(1), Kipra’s kacike(2) and  Pioneer hollandia(4). The other runners have all been in the triple figures, but not as consistent as the previous mention runners. This makes it hard to pick a winner. Will it be a lucky run or consistency horse that takes the price today? Only time will tell.

My selection are: 2-3,5-3,5, will take a lot of beating this favorite, value bet is the 5

Exbourne’s Escape(5/2): A quality 4yold colt, he’s best time this season came over 7 furlongs with a supper impressive time of 114. Based on all 4yold and over speeds in the sprints he is in the top 20 season best times. This is impressive; he is the class colt in the field.  He looks to have recaptured the form the made him so threatening early on this season, last start ran 102 over 7.5furlongs.

Kirpa’s Kacike(4/1): A quality 4yold colt, in his previous 8 starts he has been able to run with super consistent times +100. His last run can be forgiven, only managed a poor 90 over 6 furlongs. His best times have come over 7furlongs. This colt is well rested and has worked his way toward a stakes birth.  Will improve this run, if he can produce anywhere near his best should be in the mix.

Buliano(10/1): An honest 4yold colt, will find the going tough, lifts in class, but he is well suited over 7 furlongs. His best time came 2 starts back over 7furlongs, speed 101. Needs to improve if he is to get in the money.

Pioneer Hollandia(2/1): 4yold colt, A genuine 1 miler who can handle 7 furlongs. He has an impressive strike rate of 11 wins out of 27 starts.  His last start (4 starts back over 7 furlongs) he ran a nice speed of 105. Very consistent horse and is rarely disgraced, this horse will not leave you wondering “only if”, look of a good run with lots of speed.

Quick Rush(4/1): 4yold colt, potential is the word that springs to mind when looking at this horse. Last few starts he has been disappointing, most of his runs have been over 6.5furlongs or less. As a 3yold he produced a ‘Promising” result in 7furlongs race running an impressive 108! Has shown glimpses of this class as a 4yold, but has been very inconsistent. Only time will tell for this super colt

Dooter in Charge(10/1): 4yold colt, an average colt that hasn’t been able to string it together, will need to improve if he’s to be a chance.

Pequin Cat(8/1): 3yold colt, this horse oozes potential, as a 2yold he was able to clock a time of 101 over the mile, now thats impressive!!! he hasn’t been able to go on with it as 3yold, but  looks to be developing into a horse of the future (late bloomer), if his last start is anything to go on. Last start he won over 7 furlongs with an impressive time of 107. I’m not sure if this horse is a genuine 7furlongs runners looks to be more of a mile horse, but I commend the trainer he has tried everything. Watch out for this one!!
