The Upper State Juvenile Stakes a Grade III for all horses 2 years old over the mile on fast dirt at
Conspirator from the 1 post, trained by super10 and is showing odds of 6/1. This colt by (Lemon Drop Kid) is two from six and is coming off a fair win in an allowance over the mile. His first four runs were over sprints and then he was put into a Stakes over 8.5 and ran a fair race to collect fourth. One feels that up against some of this field he will have to lift his times as it should take a run of over 90 to win this.
Jarod5 has entered his filly Without A Doubt (Redoute’s Choice) and her odds are 22/1. The winner of one from five she has not greeted the judge since her debut in a maiden on turf. This will be her first attempt at the mile and the company here will probably be too strong for her.
Ring Tone a colt by (Phone Trick) and trained by corza5 is starting at 17/1. The winner of two from eight this colt is going to do it hard here against some of the talent racing against him. He is back to the dirt after an unsuccessful try on the grass but will have to improve dramatically here to win .
PGA Concarsky a colt by (Congaree) trained by snags and is at 8/1. This lightly raced colt is one from four but showed an enourmous leap in form at his latest run just getting caught iin a Stakes over 8.5 and running a 93. That was his first go over the classic distance and underlined the sheer promise of this fine colt. He appears to like to set the pace and he is a definite chance here and will keep them honest.
White Mountain a colt by (Ago) and trained by ronleonard is at 25/1. He has two from seven and has won his last two starts, a maiden followed by an allowance and looks to have the job ahead of him here. This class will test him and it is very difficult to see him getting the money here.
Privileged a blue blood by (Gone West) and trained by saver is at 10/1. This beautifully bred colt is lightly raced and is two from four with a last start third in a Grde2 over 8.5. His first three runs were over the sprints and he won a Stakes over 5.5 at his seconded last run. Even though beaten at his last start he did show a improvement and can’t be left out of the chances in this, it will depend on how much he continues to improve. He does give the indication that he may be looking at a longer journey down the track.
Moneygrowsontrees a colt by (Forestry) trained by cheadle and is at 8/1.Failed at his latest outing in a Grde2 over 8.5 but allowances can be made as his jock claimed the saddle slipped and he had to ease him up. Prior to that won a Stakes over 7.5 in stylish fashion and deserves another chance here. Provided every thing goes to plan he should be on the pace and could cause an upset.
Ab Fab another well bred youngster by (Awesome Again) trained by the very astute dolphinman and is the favourite here at 3/1. This classy colt has not been out of the money in his seven starts and is a winner of five of them. Ranked eighth in his division and already the winner of a Grade3 and a Grade2 this colt knows how to gallop. At his first try over 8 he ran a good third in the GSR Grade I and than came out in a Stakes over 8 and won with a classy time. He is all racehorse and looks to have them covered in this.
Salutations by (Fusaichi Pegasus) trained by bookwormand is at 9/1.The winner of two from five with both wins being over 8 furlongs. He stepped up to Stakes level at his latest run and wasn’t disgraced coming in third, though his times will need to improve for him to take this one out.
Soldier’s Kiss(IRE) a colt by (King Of Kings) trained by alybobbob and is at 13/1. The odds look pretty attractive for this lightly raced colt. His first time out was on the grass and he didn’t like it since than he has won two on the trot on dirt including a Stakes over 7.5 in fair time at his most recent run. Stepping up to 8 and in class but his form is hard to fault and if he keeps improving will be a colt to watch out for, and a good chance here at good odds.
