Ladies and Gentlemen, Boysand Girls. Welcome to the somewhat surprisingly sunny weather here in NewmarketEngland. Today’s race see’s 14 filly’s race over the first classic trip of theseason at 8f. This is certainly an international race as we have 6 countriesrepresented, which will surely provide us with a great race. Now let’s get tothe rundown of the runners.

( 1 ) THE TRUNKMONKEY (ENG) – lenny14

Ranking: 79th

Highest SP: 102

Form: 6-1-2-1-1

Jockey: H Artack 29.6% – Odds: 8/1

Biggest Run: 9f Dehere’s Dancer Turf Filly Route (1st)

The Trunk Money is by dansili out ofthe G1 producing mare Sonic Death Monkey. The Trunk Monkey’s older half-brother is a multiple G1 performer at 9f.The trunk Monkey started her career out on the dirt where she had mediocreresults to say it nicely, her first run on the turf at 8f she put in a massiverun and won her maiden by 5 lengths going away from a field of 8 runners.  She won her next allowance race at 8.5fbefore she ran a very gallant 2nd in a 9.5f turf stakes. Her nextrace was the 9f turf stakes where she won by a head, which resulted in her poppingher second straight 100 speed figure. Last time out she ran into a hot G1 fieldand put up a very nice 6th place finish, in this race she struggledto get to the front in which she loves to do and ultimately could not kick pastthem as she turned for home, she put in her third straight 100 speed Figure.

Prediction: 5th, she is a really nice filly, But I think her best chanceto win is to find the front which will be extremely difficult to do in thisfield. So for that reason she will plug away and be just outside the top 4.

( 2 ) BRING THEVIPER (AUS) – les111

Ranking: 220

Highest SP: 98

Form: 2-3-4-4-1

Jockey: L Hichens 10.9%- Odds: 16/1

Bring The Viper is by Sebring, out of the mare pedal fuji. Bring TheViper is the first foal out of pedal fuji. As a 3yoBring The viper is yet to win, Her last run in the G3 Nell Gwyn was her mostrespectable run of her career closing down the stretch to lose by a respectable1 ¾ lengths.

Prediction: 12th, below average form andsuspect at a mile, can’t make more of an argument for this one being anywhereclose to the winner.

( 3 ) TIFFY TIME(ENG) – marsattack

Form: 2-1-2-1-1

Tiffy Time is by Dansili, out of the stakes placed mare Tiffany Lynn.Tiffany Lynn has 4 foals but Tiffy Time seems the best of the lot so far. TiffyTime has a remarkable record of 10 races in which 9 of them have been top 2finishes. After that allowance rompshe went on to win a Queensland Residents stake, followed by another G3 2nd.Tiffy Time followed up her 2nd with a stakes win at 8f, followed bythe heart breaking loss in the G1 Japanese 1000 guineas.

Prediction:2nd, Ithink this filly could definitely win this race, Very consistent performer atthe top level, but she had every chance last time out with the run of the raceand could not get it done, tougher spot for her running style today.

( 4 ) LUMPY BRED(IRE) – itsalock

Pawned For Kash is a winner, has won 8 out 12. Her 2yo season was patchy to say the least however pawned forkash still showed the talent it took to win races as a 2yo. Pawned For Kashstarted off her 3yo campaign in exceptional class winning 3 stakes races on thetrot. Pawned For Kash found the going extremely difficult last time out in theG1 where she ran a down the field 7th in her toughest race to date.

She started off her 3yocampaign on dirt with a fairly average run, once she switched back to turf shehas strung 3 wins together. Her last win was an eye catching stakes victorywhere she won by 1 and bit lengths in a very competive sp of 99.

Prediction:7th, inoutstanding Form and is likely to improve. There is a lot of pace in this racethat could hurt this filly’s chance at the end of the race, so will be asitting duck to the elite fillies stalking behind her.

In her first 3 runs as a 3yo she has only really been pluggingaway 5th, 4th and 2nd.

Prediction:13th, ran really well asa 2yo, but has not had the same form this season. Will need massive improvementto be anywhere near the winner? Way overmatched here.

Her last race in the G3 Irish guineastrial, She showed what type of filly we have here and sent a message to therest of the division. Winning by 2 and bit lengths with an outstanding sp of105.

Prediction: 3rd, easily has the most upside of the entire field. Hasdone very little wrong up to this point, so would not surprise is she wasvictorious here.

After that race the owner decided to cash in on her maiden claimwinner through the auction, Where Baby Jinx Cadet fetched for a rather largesum of money. New owner was none other than lenny who had the vision to see howgood this Filly could actually be, Her pedigree is very good and the mare hasbeen producing well so the gamble looks to be a good one. With lenny as thetrainer this filly has shown a gradual improvement winning a stakes race andbeing 4th in a G3. Last time out in the G3 baby jinx Cadet roaredhome to get 4th in a very strong lineup of fillies.

Prediction:10th, Gets theperfect trip by style and a top jockey. But limited talent and can’t see hergetting much better than mid table, I see her running a solid 10th.

( 11 )AFTERDARKSIDE (KY) – muninn

Ranking: #245

Highest SP:99

Form: 2-1-1-3-2

Jockey: J Ledwith 21% – Odds: 15/1

Afterdarkside is the beautifully bred scratch bred brown filly, herpedigree is outstanding Giants Causeway xKingmambo x Saddlers wells, just aregal pedigree. Afterdarkside has never raced in anything above an allowancerace, where she has won 4 of 9. Afterdark side is definitely a speedball tryingto lead in all her races so far, her last race she held a lead by 7 lengthsonly to be run down late.

Prediction:11th, has hadreally solid allowance form and should be quick enough to lead here, couldimprove off the allowance form. I can’t make a case for this filly in today’srace, I’m sure she will win a big one at some point.

( 12 ) MARJ CREEPER(IRE) – amandas

Ranking: #17

Highest SP: 105

Form: 1-1-4-1-3

Jockey: S Dunlap 11.5% – Odds: 8/1

Biggest Run: 8f The Juvenile Filly G1 (4th)

Marj Creeper is by Marju, out of the stakes winning mare Stormcreeper. MarjCreeper started of her career in a 6f turf maiden where she won easily, Next upwas a very easy allowance win where she would have showed her trainer that shewas something really special. Her second of the stakes races was something veryvery special, where she destroyed a small filed by 3 and a bit lengths, followed by the barnstorming 4th place in the G1, where she camefrom the clouds to get close to winning late. Marj Creeper as a 3yo has been veryvery good, 2 G3 wins on the trot and increasing sp’s.

Prediction:4th, One of myfavourite fillies in the entire field, is a graded performer and has proven asa juvenile she can compete at the G1 level. Biggest concern is how far will shegive them turning for home, may need a little longer to be victorious at thislevel.

( 13 ) BY THE POOL(IRE) – blazingsad

Ranking: #22

Highest SP: 106

Form: 3-1-2-1-4

Jockey: J Walsh 13.4% – Odds: 7/1

Biggest Run: 8f The Japanese 1000 Guineas G1 (3rd)

By The Pool is by Galileo, Out of the stakes winning mare Ultimate Dragon,By The Pool is the first foal of Ultimate Dragon who is turning herself maybein to a potential monsterish broodmare. By The Pool started off her career inlate august in the 8f maiden in which as most good horses do she won at firsttime asking. Her next 2 Juvenile races ended with a midfield placing in a G2and a nail biting win in a stakes race at 8f.Her 3yo campaign started off withher stepping up in trip to 10.5f, In which she really dint like, plugging awayto show her class to run 2nd. By The Pool than went on to win astakes race at 8.5f in a turf burning 106 and to show she was not a filly tomess with. The G1 3rd last time out was a great run coming home lateto grab 3rd and with a little more luck could have easily been thevictor in that race.

Prediction: winner, A lot more speed to run at in this race and will turn the tables onTiffy Time from the G1 Japanese 1000 guineas.

( 14 ) SEEKINGDANZIG (ENG) – aredneck

Ranking: #530

Highest SP: 87

Form: 1-1-1-1-1

Jockey: SL Ledwith 22% – Odds: 23/1

BiggestRun: 7.5f Societys PyeTurf Juvenile Fillies ST (1st)

Seeking Danzig is by Oasis Dream, Out of the stakes winning He-mareSeeking Nashua. Seeking Danzig is an impressive 5 for 5, winning impressivelyin all of her races so far. Her last start as a juvenile was her best race byfar winning the 7.5f stakes in the most impressive fashion and really showedshe will be a player at the graded events as a 3yo. Her only race as a 3yo wasa small field allowance race where she did what she needed to do inunspectacular fashion and won going away.

Prediction: 9th, won everything she hasbeen asked to win. However I don’t think G1’s are where you should be hopingfor massive improvement, Is a front runner that will be caught up in a speedbattle will battle on late for a slight worse that average finish.
