Welcome to sunny south Africa for the running of the Grade 1 Manha Manha Challenge. We have six starters in today’s race.our early favorite is raiderking’s EVIL DREAMS,the five year old son of MONTJUE and the mare DOUBLE NIGHTMARE,who has produced two graded winnners herself.of the seven wins he has achieved two of those were graded victories.the The G3 Chicago Handicap, and the G1 Jolly Summer Cup.his last start was in the Ballisodare Turf Route where he was caught at the wire.he’s going off at 2/1 here.
JUST BOOK IT is our next starter is another son of MONTJUE out of the grade one winning mare STENO BOOK.the mav176 trained star has amassed seven wins so far in his racing life.he has one graded win to his credit, the G2 The Main Oak,but that race was on a muddy track. in his last race the Jennifer Connley BC Turf Cap he had a rough trip.his owner is hoping this smaller field will be to his advantage.
INVIGORATING trained by mtkgrs3 is the next graded star to try and take home the winners share,is the very speedy son of SMART STRIKE,out of BROAD BRUSH and SADLER’S WELLS.winner of two in a row including his last race the G3 Night At The Exbury.where he jumped out to a commanding lead and won by 2 3/4 lengths. if he gets that big a jump here there is no catching him.
our next turf star is the thethumb trained son of MEDAGLIA D’ORO and grade one winning mare FALLOUT SHELTER.NEW VEGAS the five year old has won nine races so far.he has won two grade 2 races, the The Dancing North Cup,and the Hardcourt,in his last start.he looks to close on the pacesetters when he hits the final turn home.
our only filly in the race is sitting outside where she could easily get away from the boys, CONFEDERATIONBRIDG has amassed 8 wins in 13 starts.including her last four in a row.three of those wins were listed stakes or better.the hoganapex trained star out of GIANT’S CAUSEWAY and the he mare ARGENTINA STORM.won the G2 Hannah Barbera Cap last time out.she looks to give the boys a very hard time here.
our long shot at 6/1 if you wanna call it that, has been running against graded company in his last five starts, but he hasn’t fared well.SIR LEAREHA trained by dannejaka4 has nine wins to his credit. including the G3 Chosen Stakes, last year the son of KING KAMEHAMEHA out of LEAR FAN and SIR IVOR. he has talent he just has been struggling as of late. this small field may be just what he needs to get his nose back out front.
well good luck to all the trainers and their stars
