Everyone who lives here knows this is one of the biggest races on the racing calendar, and this years race promises to be another blockbuster. There are lots of horses that can win this, but at the end of the day there can only be one winner so may the best horse win.

This colt has only started racing in graded races this year, with some promising results. Has pleanty of experience at the distance and has placed once from 2 starts at the class. Had a good win last start out in the GRP3 What’s It Worth at 1600m, which was his first win this year. Should go well here and a good each-way chance at bigger odds.

This horse was claimed for $5,000 dollars in february last year, since then he has improved under the new stable. He has finished second in both his starts at the class and has distance experience. Did really well last start out in the GRP2 Church Mound Stakes at 1600m, and he was at similar odds as here today. I think he does better at sprint races but is capable of running out 1600m, but I think he will find this a bit too hard.

This colt is made for 1600m his only starts as a 2yo were at this distance. Nearly all his wins have been at this distance but this is the first time he is stepping up to graded company. He is looking for 3 wins straight here today with a career best race last time out. He is at big odds here today but if you like a roughie he might just be your horse.

This 3yo colt is taking on the older horses here today, and prehaps that’s why he’s at big odds. Has had a win at the class and goes well at 1600m. Stormed home last start to win the GRP2 The Emirates 1600m and let’s hope he can continue from there. Bookies don’t give him much chance and against some of these I can understand why.

This colt has raced at 1600m 20 times from 26 starts, and doesn’t miss a placing much. I believe this one could have had 19 wins from 26 starts with a bit of luck. Had a perfect record at the class until he ran last start in The Emirates 1600m where he failed to preform. Obviously the jockey V Reed has faith in this horse as he has followed him all around the world. I think he will bounce back and got to be considered as one of the main chances.

This horse is our early favourite and when you see how much experience he has you can understand why. Has won 4 out of 5 starts at the class and has 12 wins at the distance. Had a great win in the GRP1 The DiCaprio Handicap 1600m last start where he raced mid field and finished off to hold everyone off. Has the x factor and is the one to beat.

This colt is hoping that the drop down in class will help him find form. Has placed onced at the class and could have easily won that day. Has pleanty of experience at the distance and bookies have given him 8/1 odds here today. Don’t think he can win this but prehaps a place chance looks best.

This colt had his first start on the dirt track last start for a second, but looks better suited on the turf. He is the third favourite here and when you see how much money he has won and the races he has been in you can understand why. Has only once missed a placing at the class and goes good at 1600m. If we get the real Adjuge today he will absoultely blow these away, but if not he won’t win.

This horse is our long shot of the race and when you see his performance at his only start at this class you can see why. Not sure he should be racing against such hard company but if you don’t push limits you get nowhere. Hard to see who he can beat over the line.

This four year old colt is the last of our 12 runners today. He is stepping up in class but did win last start out in the GRP3 Chief Cook Stakes 1600m. Goes well at the distance and look for him to take the lead and try and pinch it in the straight. Will look like the winner but can he hold off the fast finishers.
