L.I.L. CHAMPIONSHIP RECAP
With the LIKEN IT LOCAL II SERIES ending this past Saturday. The Series culminated with it’s biggest day to date. 12 Stakes Races, brought together over 80 qualifiers(representing 21 Countries and States)from around the world. A truely cosmopolitan day in sunny California. Qualifying took place over an 11 month span and 50+ races. You would think after all that racing, we would have seperated the haves and have nots. With a year of competitive racing in the books and the champions crowned! The Series has provided everything advertized and hopefully gave a boost to Local Bred breeding. Being from California, when I opened the residency my main thought was promoting west-coast breeding and racing. But I soon realized that the Local Bred concept, was much bigger than that and that there are so many useful stallions around the world. The Series has given them all a chance to shine, on their very own day and stage.
For me, the planning for LIKEN IT LOCAL III, begins the process all over again! With the first races, being run the last Saturday in December.
Unfortunately a side-effect of our merge with THE MINNESOTA DOWNS RESIDENCY, is that the Series will no longer be open to the public.
There is good news though! The Residency name will be changed over next week and the merge will begin. So if you would like to be part of something “new” and “exciting”? We will be accepting new residents @ THE MINNESOTA TESTBARN RESIDENCY. Besides a name change, we have a lot to offer. A lot of which, you can find at no other Residency. Some of what we offer is:
60+ resident only races a year(over 30 of those Stakes Races).
Countless Contests( breeding, stable management, both RL and Sim Handicapping contests, fantasy racing contests and much more!
Prizes include: Prize Horses, Credits, RL Horse Racing Memorabilia, Residency/Sim t-shirts, Plus “Win” Pictures from your Great “Sim” moments(by rencapone).
In addition to all the Great activities, the Residency is resident run and all decisions are decided by vote(I only vote in event of a tie). This style of management, has served us well and gives us happy, content residents. So if you like the idea of self-management? Come take a look around(it’s all Free).
***Attention all Winners! You can recieve a “Win” Picture, by coming to our Message Board and ordering one on The Rencapone “Win” Picture Board(no commitment necessary).
