Spotlight Tipsheet-Spain

The Spotlight Tipsheet is off to Spain this Saturday to cover a 16 card program.   Weather conditions are wonderful with plenty of sun and a fast dirt track along with a firm turf surface.  No stake races are on the card today.  One change I have made to the Tipsheet is to replace the post time with the race ID number.

Race 1  Allowance  Race ID : 1030128

9-Baby Beginnnings had nice win in last against claimers.  Moves up into allowance and faces mediocre field.

8-Oil Boy has never run on dirt.  Any liking to surface will light up the tote board.

2-One Sharp Dude has put up speed numbers that will be competitive in this field.

Race 2  $2,500 Claim   Race ID : 1030129

1-Sway The Bridge has improved speed numbers in last two, continues here.

3-Harris The Great better than the rest, shot at top spot.

Race 3  Allowance  Race ID : 1030130

3-Hof’s Musket is a stalker who can catch the front runners.

10-Lookin At Unlucky knocked off career best of 106 in last.  Good enough to take this.

8-Kiss The Kid has won three of last five.  One not to ignore.

Race 4  $17,500 Claim   Race ID : 1030131

3-Poor Conduct gets job done as chalk choice.

1-Patluc’s Champion second best brings home cheap exacta.

Race 5  Allowance  Race ID : 1030132

1-Feelinlucky-comes off injury to face field of CPU entries.  Gets easy task here.

2-Jabe-last ran in February, other entrants sidelined just as long or longer.

Race 6  $75,000 Claim   Race ID : 1030133

4-Toothless Tiger only one in field running long routes in recent days.  Takes on field of CPU horses.

2-Regal Bum is only other one in field with long route experience, however, makes first start in two years.

Race 7  MSW  Race ID : 1021522

5-Berri Street switches to dirt after fair effort on grass.

9-Heir Born is nicely bred horse that makes first start, however, could be better suited for grass.

4-Shell Start showed improving speeds on grass, swaps to dirt with hopes to find even better results.

Race 8  Allowance  Race ID : 1023681

5-Sustained Storm missed by half a length in last.  Good spot to make amends.

7-Real British Gravy broke maiden in last at 9.5f.  Drops a tad in distance and capable of repeat effort.

8-Big Red Tent with career best speed in last.  She could be coming to life.

Race 9  Allowance    Race ID : 1027427

4-Empire Pins has been charted with speeds over 100 in last two starts.  Makes him the one to beat.

2-Starsil sparked a speed of 92 back in August.  Last outing was easy win versus CPU field.  Much better than speed shows.

Race 10  Allowance  Race ID : 1027442

6-Dancify gets class edge with drop out of graded level to allowance.

5-Time Leak faltered in last in low-end stakes, back to allowance where she was on board four previous races with speeds over 100.

3-Thanx Waikato has very competitive speeds, just hasn’t found way to winner’s circle.   Could get a piece of the purse.

Race 11  Allowance     Race ID : 1027544

4-Golden Mile has shown improvement with switchover to dirt.

6-Crimson Joy has bounced speed into 90’s in last two finishing second in both.  Dangerous.

5-Jackson’s Terror is often on board with dirt runs, rarely a winner.

Race 12  $6,250 Claim    Race ID : 1027556

5-Duke of Drakon out of starter allowance and will need best effort.

4-Solo Kiwi comes in off win and career best speed of 95, peak form makes him competitive here.

1-Toolittle drops in claiming ranks, may benefit with drop.

5-Haniwell speeds above 90 in last two are much better than rest, gets call.

3-John’s Broken Vow has hit board in long races before, should be somewhere on board with this field.

Race 14  Allowance    Race ID : 1030960

3-PJ Dusty Road has most consistent speed of bunch, gets the edge.

Race 15  Claim  $6,250    Race ID : 1035348

3-Haack’s Illusion pumped out speeds of 96 & 98 in last two against high-level claimers.  Drops to lower end claimers and gets results.

1-Jyzlap was second by three strides in last, going 14f also against high-level claimers.   Shorter distance here and some class relieve.  Threat to top one.

7-Oil University returns to grass, may take a piece.

Race 16 MSW    Race ID : 1007976

1-Dream Desteny put in speed of 73 while finishing fourth in debut.  Look for improvement off of that.

6-Lemn Barb Kid also had nice speed in his debut of 76.  Not as rested as top choice, gets second selection.

9-War Footing ran near lead in debut with speed of 72 throughout race, may need a spark though.
