Spotlight Tip Sheet Features Ontario
This week’s Spotlight race card features the Ontario Raceway:
RACE 1
1. Why Not Eh Plus-showed some promise in last going 8.5f in career best speed of 82. Good enough to break maiden here.
2. Filling Voids-favorite that has speed and hasn’t found way to seal the deal. Will be tested again.
3. TR One-will press issue for top spot. Debuted with speed of 75 last month and can improve off of that.
RACE 2
3. Departed Joy-Three of last four starts were rated at 100 or higher speedwise, much better than competition. Extends current win streak to four.
2. Queen Zen-Zensational filly who has shown strong late speed winning last two starts. Benefits with smaller field.
1. Will Rave For Oil-is 8 for 11 in hitting board in routes, trifecta throw-in.
RACE 3
4. Wall of Serenity-has won four of six starts this year. One to beat.
8. Kentucky Avenue-has made this track her hometown with last 10 outings here, all with Renfroe aboard. Together have record of 3-4-1. Likely to add to this record.
6. Rascal-should be the one to cut the fractions. Drops in distance and feasibly could pull off upset.
RACE 4
2. On Forty Ninth St-finished second in last two, ready to score.
7. Returning Evil-squandered lead in last when hitting career best speed of 95. Returns to Ontario where she broke maiden. Capable of wiring field.
5. Maple Leaf Gardens has had decent efforts over track in past. Capable of getting a piece of the purse.
RACE 5
4. Tricky Belle-last outing was with 11 days rest. Better prepped this time out and gets edge moving back into claimers.
8. No icon-has done very well this year in claimers and returns to this level. Throw out last race which was run on slop.
6. Letersky- moves into sprint for first time since maiden. Opportunity with a price.
RACE 6
1. Cheating Buckeyes nailed speed of 103 in 12f race in last start. Should have no problem in small field.
3. Keep Me In Mind-best one to keep in mind for exacta wager with top pick.
RACE 7
7. Silver Noel-112 speed in slop on this track last month tough to ignore. Look for win streak to extend to four in a row.
4. Winner’s Parade-gets much needed class relief dropping from graded level to allowance where she has excelled in past.
5. Westerly Breezed- moved to low end stakes after three excellent allowance race efforts. Back to allowance level and should be competitive.
RACE 8
3. Hoosier Touch-showed vast improvement moving to turf in last. Breaks maiden this weekend.
1. Lil Liza Jayne-will be pace setter. Capable of holding on to second in short field.
RACE 9
2. Feel The Wind Blow-new owner could get first win for this filly in non-inspiring field.
4. Sandy Penny-also has new owner, change could result in favorable results.
RACE 10
2. Street Gang-closed well in debut missing by stride. Worth the shot at 6-1 as son of Street Sense.
4. Ram N Raid-also did very well in debut, missing by neck as odds-on choice. Can’t discount.
1. Hand of the King-Son of Malibu Moon makes first start and gets Renfroe in saddle. Look for good results in debut.
RACE 11
4. Silvergore-finished second three times this year over track. Gets Linville this time out, best jockey used to date at this raceway. May finally get first win of year.
5. Mubrarak-last five times have been on this track with Renfroe aboard. Duo tries again to get that elusive victory.
2. Barry Sanders-best of the rest.
RACE 12
5. Rattle That Cage-Drops out of graded company after to sour efforts. Class drop should yield nice results.
3. Sans Virus-winner of two in a row, last with career best speed of 95. One to keep an eye on.
4. Ghost Sense also benefits with class drop coming from lower end stakes. Will be a threat.
RACE 13
3. Vertial Impact-second start after a rest. Gets my vote in graded feature.
2. Myth or Magic-shined in last rolling off to 3 length win after trailing by nearly 15. That came after 6 week rest.
1. New Vegas-speeds over 100 in 7 of last 8. Trifecta must have.
RACE 14
1. Power to Impact-scored win with solid 112 speed in Diolated Stakes. Slim edge.
5. Cold World-has three stake wins in a row. Looks to be a bit underrated by gamblers.
2. Beach Time-has boasted speeds over 110 in four of last six starts. Dangerous.
RACE 15
1. Notthesharpesttool-winner of 4 races this year all coming at a mile in distance. Gets my vote.
2. Headbob –has raced route once in 41 starts. Speed of 104 was turf career best speed in last race at 6f. Heavy favorite in small field could find victory.
RACE 16
3. No Bed Bugs Biting-showed much improved form returning to track after layoff closing strong. Call in competitive small field.
4. For Auror-speeds have been in 100 range with good frequency. Gets second spot.
