GET BIG LOOKS TO MAKE IT BIG

Saturdays feature race for 2 year olds only drew 5 entries this year with one being a untested 2 year old who just happens to be the favorite here ,this being a minor stakes, there are no major stars here, the big stars are running in the graded races giveing one of these a chance to pick up a stakes victory.the colt SPIRIT OF KIRBYS is the only entrie with stakes experiance under his belt.

PP ( 1 )      GET BIG(KY)      1/5
        jockey:C Stams ( 58 – 2 – 5 – 7 – 3% )
(DYNAFORMER x KINGMAMBO x SADLER’S WELLS)
owner:adschus02
Turf Sprint Rank: N/A
Total 0 0 0 0 $0
the well bred son  of  DYNAFORMER gets the nod from the bookies here and there probally right ,only problem is he’s got a handicap on his back at 3% not a good break for the colt a much better rider would help him not to defeat himself.

PP 2       GORKYTAG(NZ)     15/1
   jockey:B Heffernan ( 270 – 30 – 36 – 37 – 11% )
(GORKY PARK (NZ) x CHEROKEE RUN x BIRDONTHEWIRE)
owner:deeprock80
Turf Sprint Rank:N/A
Turf       2 0 1 0 $4,025
Total     5 1 1 0 $33,005
this speedy younster out of first year sire GORKY PARK has tons of early speed ,could go box to wire here if gets out far enough, but a show seems to be no problem here at 15/1 thats his lowest odds so far breaking his maiden at 23/1 owner deeprock80 loves to watch him go to the front 5 1/2 furlongs on turf may be to his likeing.

PP (3)      FAST ENID KID(OK)    99/1
    jockey:S Myslinski ( 53 – 9 – 6 – 4 – 17% )
(FAST PLAY x CEE’S TIZZY x TOYO LYPHARD (JPN))
owner:kirby08
Turf Sprint Rank:N/A
Turf       0 0 0 0 $0
Total      2 1 0 0 $1,280
I’m not sure what trainers are thinking here but with 2 year olds anything is possable, with a 48 being his top speed it doesn’t look good for his chances here.does have the help of a good jockey.

PP (4 )         TELESCOPIC LIGHT(CAN)    5/2
    jockey:J Benisz ( 451 – 150 – 99 – 61 – 33% )
(NORTH LIGHT (IRE) x GALILEO (IRE) x SEEKING THE GOLD)
owner:dpbstables
Turf Sprint Rank:N/A
Turf      2 1 0 0 $15,740
Total 2 1 0 0 $15,740
we have a nice looking colt here , he could very well be the winner here with two very strong showings, all though  there are a couple of colts, here to put the pressure on him to step up with the big boys ,I like his chances here, a good payday is no problem in this race.

PP 5     SPIRIT OF KIRBYS(PA)     5/1
   jockey:T Richard ( 67 – 2 – 1 – 7 – 3% )
(FAIRBANKS x OASIS DREAM (GB) x INVINCIBLE SPIRIT (IRE))
owner:kirby44
Turf      2 1 1 0 $39,620
Total     3 2 1 0 $57,860
the 2nd of two entries for the kirby stables ,the winner of two races so far this year his speed rateings are improveing on every start .his last outing he ran a nice race just getting beat at the wire by FANTASTIC RUN in the Atlantian Turf Juvenile -Stk looks to battle with the 2 GORKYTAG for the early lead if he can hold on ,thats the question here .

good luck to all the trainers and the fine colts
