EWC Announces Handicapping Contest

The EWC residency will soon be starting the second round of EWC Survivor Handicap Contest.   The contest is set to start on week 4813 and will run a total of 12 weeks.   Specific information regarding the contest can be found at the home page for the EWC residency at:  http://eastwest.freehostia.com.

The goal of the game is to pick a top-three finisher in a pre-selected race each week.  Scoring is based on the horses payoffs (example, your selection finishes second, you score the place payoff).   Sounds simple, but there are many twists to the game.

First, this is a survival game.  If you fail to pick a top-three finisher, you get a strike.  Get three total strikes during the game, you are out.  But your accumulated score stays active and you can still win something.  Fancy that.   In the second round, there is a method to get back into the game if you are eliminated, which is detailed on the EWC webpage.

In the first round of the contest, there were different events that included picking you own horse during a certain weeks, placing bets to multiply (or reduce if you lose) you accumulated score and we even had a week where you had to pick a bottom-three finisher.

Prizes include credits to the top three winners and a real simulate horse for the first place finisher!!!!

Think ya got what it takes to last 12 weeks?  The first round there were only two players remaining in the final week.  Come on over to the EWC home page for further details and check out the link to the EWC Survivor Handicapping Contest.  Only takes having one stable at the residency to get into the game!
