A good field in Texas for Group 3. Nine fillies in very good form Good interest was shown for this race as every previous year in the last 10 years of existence of this race. There were good speeds as well as very bad ones.
Speed of the winner was in 2002 which was 107 and the worst was in 2003 with only 18. As for the race this year I don’t believe that any of these records will be broken. In this race I think that only one horse can win and that is ALPINIST. The others will battle for second and third place.
1. RUBYS FOR DANI(CA) 5/1 Daughter of Benchmark. In the last few races won. A win in the last race with a speed of 98. In this race I think she will come in place.
2. TOUCH SCREEN(KY)`18/1What can we say about this filly. 5 starts none in a stake and lately in a changeable form. As far as this race goes I think that right now an easier race should be looked at.
3. THE LOOT IS GONE(KY) 9/2 Six wins from 10 races. Very good filly. Ran in good races until now and there is no race where she came in place. This race could be a change, a place for sure.
4. ALPINIST(KY)9/2 Very good breeding with a very good win in Group 3 with a speed of 100. I think she will improve in this race and win for the 8th win.
5. BULLY BULLY BULLY(FL)10/1 Two races as 3 year old filly with a speed of 90 in the last start. If it continues to improve a place should not be too far away.
6. MALIBU CHRISSIE(KY) 6/1 Promising filly with good breeding. A win in the last race at 7.5 furlongs. In very good form with three wins in a row. I think this filly needs a bit longer race.
7. HOT SPORT(JPN) 49/1 Only one start as a 3 year old with second place in a stake. Arrival in Group 3 was a bit ambitious from trainer. Hope it will improve in speed.
8. NOW PEG(KY) 5/2 No win since January but has good speeds. Excellent breeding which can only help. Consistent for second or third place this time.
9. MARCHING INN(KY) 4/1 Most number of races in this field. Very good breeding in Arch for sire. Not without a chance.
