RODOTs

Friday’s local bred winner was shipped in from Florida by Okdavid.  Condensation, a 2yo filly by the young Tiznow sire Liquidity, responded smartly to a move from open to lcl-bred msw company, easily dispatching her three rivals by just over two lengths.

In other friday action: Thunder Street, racing for Gowans’ belafonte stable, dropped to conditioned alw company from Blazing Saddles residency stakes and cruised past the nw3l level, covering the nine dirt panels in a smart 1:48 3/5 under A Jolly.  Doza’s 2yo Elusive Quality filly, Well Monied, broke maiden in her third lifetime start, taking the seven furlong contest by just over a length under jockey U Cunningham.

SATURDAY

In local bred action, The Pink Dolphin appreciated a little more ground to work with, breaking maiden a 6.5 furlongs by just over a length, besting nine other rivals.

This week’s feature was an open allowance run at six furlongs on the dirt course, for fillies and mares three and up.  This was a one horse show as Astin’s Fictitious Force swept past the field in a last to first move to win by almost four lengths.  The well bred daughter of Unbridled’s Song sat well back of her six opponents, threading her way through in the stretch under A Jolly.  The winning time was 1:09 2/5.

Other allowance action: Shag’s Pleasant American took down unconditioned foes over 9.5 panels on the lawn.  Sarah’s Story, from the deyoto5 barn, skipped home wire to wire by 3 3/4 lengths against a short field.  Apparently no one felt like running against her last week, and she proved them right.  Cobleskill’s Yes Its Silver is now two for two after wiring a nw2l field of five others under R Shiloh.  Lucky’s Joyce, racing for Mrlucky’s ohioracing stable, rallied from well back to take acpu restricted alw in a solid 1:48 1/5.  The LA bred Vinton Lioness took her fourth straight two turn turf contest, this one a cpu restricted affair at ten furlongs.

Some notable maiden scores:  Sicko’s Use Your Illusion loved the strech out to a flat mile, crushing a field of twelve by three.  Lilbitfarm’s Singing Woods soared to victory under leading jockey F Oxon, going gate to wire in a one mile msw, posting a nice 85 spf for a 2yo breaking maiden.

No trainer, under linked stables, posted multiple victories saturday.  The top two riders put on a show as both F Oxon and A Jolly carded five wins on the program.

Some fast horses coming in next week as LA hosts a Grade One race over a flat mile.  Hot And Spicy will be looking to run down two speedballs in Tex Cat and the one he narrowly defeated in the Cosmopolitan, Julliet Blues.
