In excellent form after 8 wins from his last 10 outings which includes wins at Allowance, Stakes as well as G3 and G1 races.  Speeds are all well over 100 including his career best at 115 where he ran third in a G1 race over 13 furlongs.  Clearly he likes the distance, is very talented and has another great chance here to post another win.  Excellent win ratio of 55% – likes to lead early – will go well here.

2 HUNTER’S BIG JOKE(KY)

Well experienced, this 6yo out of Dynaformer is coming off a 3rd place finish at G2 level in his last race. He was closing and closing well in that race but was still a way off the winner when he crossed.  Will have to step up the speed a little as well as start his windup early to have a real chance of taking this out today.

3 DEATH ANGEL(KY)

A death angel alright and definitely one to the rest of these runners if he runs like he did last time out over this distance with a win at allowance level and an excellent speed of 107.  Having recently gone back onto the turf, has been shaking them up in his last two runs however this is a whole lot harder now on graded company.  Three runs ago back on turf he did run in a G2 race but failed bigtime running in last and a long long way from the winner.  Both him and his trainer will be hoping for a better time out today.

4 NOT SO CHEAP(KY)

A good runner this one out of Forestry, 14 wins from 35 outings he is well experience and used to the winners podium.  Ran on dirt last time out after a long stretch on turf and even though he ran well there for a 2nd place in a Stakes race, is back on his more favoured turf track here. Loves the distance, loves the Group class, will be a very real challenger here to these runners in what is a small field.  Every chance.

5 THE CHUNNEL(KY)

Longer odds this one at 10/1 and you can see why when you look at the speeds he has been posting.  Not really at this level yet although did get a few wins this year at Stakes level.  Certainly doesn’t mind the distance but what have to put in the race of his life to win this one.  Expect to run midfield at best.

6 THIRTY FOUR IN RED(KY)

Favourite today and why not.  Very fast speeds over this distance on both turf as well as dirt.  Probably looks better on the dirt track and has been swapped between turf and dirt every second race which I dont understand to be honest.  That said does have 13 wins from 26 races and a lot of those have been in Graded company.  Will be very tough to beat.
