Clash City Rocker Fetches A Nice Sum
Auction 3903: The old supply and demand rule was in effect this week at the old auction house. Sales were up but the number of horses being offered for sale was down and while there were seven horses that sold for a million dollars or more, a lot more did not reach their reserve. Of the senior citizens only three of the 25 offered sold for more than a dollar. Exbourne’s Legolas, #8357, was the high seller at $100,001. The 10 YO stallion by Thunder Gulch out of a graded stakes winning mare has won 10 of his 50 starts and is still running those triple digit speed figures. Iansplugs consigned him and the ticket was signed by Browne1. One of the bargains to be found this week was #176721 Niagara Sun a 3 YO brown colt by Mass Media out of a Seeking The Gold mare. He has only made three starts and has not yet seen the winner’s circle but he is improving every race and has never started for a tag which means there are several ways to go with this good looking colt. A person could have out bid Sassycat and picked this colt up for around two dollars. Here are your auction statistics for this week.

The Millionaires:
The top selling horse this week was #96108 Clash City Rocker, a 5 YO dark bay stallion by Beat Hollow out of Ruse (Deputy Minister). A stake’s winner and graded stake’s placed; Clash has won eight of his 32 starts. He is the only foal from
Hip number #151780 Battle Ready brought a hefty $3 million dollars from Lawyerron, who liked the way the 3 YO brown colt was put together. By Awesome Again out of Amy’s Shadow (AP Indy), Battle Ready has only won one of 15 starts but is ultra consistent being in the money in 11 of those 15 races. His dam has had two foals to race, both winners. Fairhaven7 consigned this nice colt.
The stakes placed Tricky Maria #134047 sold for $2,500,000 to Rcdlogan. Offered by Xbackyardx, Maria is by Tiznow and out of the Regal Classic mare Oh Boy Linda. The 4 YO bay filly has won six of her 18 starts and is stakes placed. Her dam, Oh Boy Linda, won 10 of 57 starts and was also a stakes winner. She has also done well as a broodmare and has produced four foals, three of them are winners and all three are stakes placed or better. Oh Boy Linda’s 3 YO filly by Macho Uno is still a maiden in six starts.
Peg It Here # 143268 was consigned by Starpukie and Camry stopped the bidding at $2,500,000. The 2 YO dainty bay filly by Danzig Connection out of a Fusaichi Pegasus mare, was a closing second in her only start. Peg carries a lot of promise and Will may have gotten a nice one.
Bringing two million dollars from Breednsell, who didn’t breed this one as near as I can tell, was # 182114 Sersoura. The unraced 3 YO chestnut filly is by Motivator out of a Swain mare and was consigned by Mrquickste. Trimmed in white, Sersoura caught more than a few eyes.
That’s it for this week. As I stated last week I will not being doing the Auction Seen for a while due to spring doings on the farm. Good Luck with all your auction purchases.
