The ATLANTIAN Bonanza Stakes

Welcome to Eastern Kentucky. The feature stakes race this week is The ATLANTIAN Bonanza Stakes. It will be a field of 6 2 years olds going Seven and half furlongs on the Firm Turf Course. They will be vying for a purse of $95,000. The weather looks clear, sit back, relax, and enjoy the race. Here is the break down for the event, enjoy!

MR. A.P. FU the odds on favorite at 6/5, a 2year old colt by FUSAICHI PEGASUS. He has 2 career wins in 5 starts for owner epic . He has all the speed in the field by posting a 84 sp# last out in a grade III. He finished 5th, 7 ½ back. In with much easier here, look for a improved performance this time out.

BANJO BLUES at 4/1, a 2 year old colt for owner photo41st . He ran a nice race last outing in The COZY BURRITO Special -Stake, finishing 3rd. He seems to have some speed, but I think he will need to break out of the gate to a early lead, and tire out all the late closers. With top effort, he will hit the board.

TWO CUPS the long shot on the tote at 11/1, a 2 year old colt for owner womanpause . He has hit the board nicely in 3 of 4 starts, with 2 wins. Finishing 3rd last out in The KING A. L. Special -Stake, he seems to have lost a bit of his form in that race. With a turn around performance, he could hit the board here.

RAVE DANCER at 5/2, a 2 year old colt for owner gorgeous . He has 2 wins in 6 starts, which he won his first time out on the turf. He returns back to the turf, but does jump from allowance level back up to stakes level. His form has room for improvement, and will need it here to take the win.

PEACOCK WALTZ at 6/1, a 2 year old colt for owner oaklawn88 . He won last out in The ABERLOUR Challenge -Stk. Putting up his best 77 sp# , he looks to improve that form even more and take back to back stakes wins. You can’t count him out as he has a legitimate chance to take this one from the favorite.

COMMON CAUSE(GB) at 7/1, a 2 year old colt for owner ibear . He has 1 win in 6 starts. He did have a nice effort last out finishing 3rd in The CRYPTOTHAW Memorial -Stk. He improved his form to a 78 sp#, and looks to be moving in the right direction. He may need some allowance company before jumping up to stakes class.
