G1, Euro Classic Final
We are headed to Belgium this weekend where they have on the card the running of the G1, Euro Classic Final. This race is open to those that are 3 years old and older and they will be running on the firm turf track at the distance of 12 furlongs. The race has drawn a field of ten horses that appear at first glance to be competitive and that will be fighting to get to the wire first to collect a trip to the winner’s circle. The morning line odds and post positions have been released so let us now take a preview of the ten horses that will make the start in the G1, Euro Classic Final.
| 1 | GOLEMIS | FR | 5G | euro8 | B Anderson | 26 | 6 | 73% | $561,466 | 84.00 | 6/1 |
Heading out first we have this 5 year old Bay Gelding (LE HAVRE (IRE) x DUBAI MILLENNIUM x HIGH CHAPARRAL (IRE) ) that has been running well for the owner this season and would pick up the win in the G2, The Einstein Stakes. In his most recent start in Germany, he would go 11 furlongs in the G3, New Oak Stakes he lingered back but tried to stay close when he found himself in second almost nine links back. He would try to close the gap in his stretch run and would end up in third at the wire with a 109 speed rating. This G2 winner would like to get a G1 win to add to his accolades when he heads over to the turf representing the European Union Racing Organization.
| 2 | FRANKLY WOETTE | ENG | 4M | coolmoreroyal7 | P Bangs | 21 | 7 | 71% | $291,043 | 29.75 | 6/1 |
Here we have a 4 year old Bay Colt (FRANKEL (GB) x DEEP IMPACT x KINGMAMBO ) that would make his first graded start of the season in his most recent race in Italy going 12 furlongs in the G1, The Jockey’s Weapon. He was third out of the gate and would rest into second until the top of the final stretch. He gave good effort trying to stay close but would fall back to fourth at the wire with a 105 speed rating. The owner feels he has earned another G1 opportunity this weekend and hopes he can get there representing the Down Under Racing residency.
| 3 | THUNDER UPTOWN | PA | 5M | delpennforever2 | T Loesch | 17 | 5 | 53% | $195,299 | 16.00 | 11/1 |
Coming out next is this 5 year old Bay Horse (UPTOWNCHARLYBROWN x FRANKEL (GB) x CAERLEON ) that would pick up his GP badge two starts back when he showed up third in the G3, The Harry Potter. He would then make his most recent start here in Belgium going 11 furlongs in a Listed Stakes, Delta River Turf Stayer. He would hang back in the early going and move slowly up picking off horses and get into third by the third call. He would make a nice stretch run for home and get up for the win with a 113 speed rating. He is moving back up in class for this start and shown he can win on this Belgium track when he heads over to his gate representing the DelPenn National residency.
| 4 | CLIFFO MY AMIGO | ENG | 4M | givenstuftcrust | Z Edwards | 16 | 5 | 56% | $560,968 | 132.00 | 8/1 |
Next, we have this 4 year old Bay Colt (FRANKEL (GB) x DEEP IMPACT x ENCOSTA DE LAGO (AUS) ) that back in March of this season would get the win in the G2, The Stayer’s Dash. He would then follow that up with a second place finish in the G2, Yorkshire Plate. Two starts back he would be third in the G1, The G.P. Von Baden. His most recent start would come in Paris going 12 furlongs in the G1, Ark De Comic Dog. He did not have one of his better starts in this race and would find the wire in seventh with a 111 speed rating. He is looking to improve on that effort this weekend as he seeks his first G1 win here in Belgium representing the GR Simsters residency.
| 5 | FIFTH TS | IRE | 5M | db3 | J Ledwith | 26 | 11 | 58% | $527,784 | 112.00 | 6/1 |
This is a 5 year old Bay Horse (SOTTSASS (FR) x MONSUN x SEEKING THE GOLD ) that has only one start off the boards this season but that has gone without a graded win. His most recent start would come in Victoria where he would travel 12.5 furlongs in the G3, The Bart. He stayed just off the lead throughout and would push himself into a second place finish at the wire with a 110 speed rating. This G1 start will be the first of the season for him and he has been hunting for a graded win. He will head out of the paddock this weekend representing the Empire State Racing residency
| 6 | RISE IN THE RANKS | GB | 4F | skogby6 | A Craig | 20 | 11 | 90% | $404,270 | 33.00 | 9/1 |
Next, we will see this 4 year old Bay Filly (SHOWCASING (GB) x DUBAWI (IRE) x KINGMAMBO ) that is the only filly in the field that will make the start to take on the boys. She has been running well for the owner and will come into this start with three wins in a row in her purse. This would include her most recent start in Sweden where she went 12 furlongs in the G3, The Longest Distaff. She was well back by over nine lengths at the third call but would find another gear in her stretch run as she flew to the wire to get the win by three and a quarter with a 111 speed rating. She would like to add a fourth win in a row this weekend against the boys when she heads over to her gate representing the European Union Racing Organization residency.
| 7 | TETE RITUALMORD | JPN | 4G | wisbyzews | B Wu | 14 | 8 | 64% | $552,476 | 112.00 | 5/1 |
This is a 4 year old Bay Gelding (HARBINGER x GALILEO (IRE) x RED RANSOM ) that has picked up a couple of graded wins this season which include the G2, The Clubhouse Stakes and the G3, Scandinavian Championship. He made his most recent start in Germany in the G1, The Europe Classic going 12 furlongs. He popped out of the gate quick and grabbed the early lead which he would hold until the final stretch. He began losing a lot of ground quickly and would fall back to cross the wire in fifth with a 108 speed rating. This horse definitely like to run up front and that is where I would expect to see him when he breaks from his gate representing the European Union Racing Organization residency.
| 8 | FADE INTO A DREAM | GB | 5G | beerkeg19 | D Brock | 24 | 3 | 46% | $597,021 | 64.00 | 5/1 |
Next, we have this 5 year old Bay Gelding (KINGMAN x KINGMAMBO x FRANKEL (GB) ) that three starts back would get a second place finish in the G1, Sword Swallower Stakes. In his most recent start in Argentina, he would go 12 furlongs in the G1, The Grand Carlos. He made a good clean start and was hanging tough until the top of the final stretch where he would start losing ground and fading back to sixth when he crossed the wire with a 110 speed rating. This is another horse that like to run at or near the front and could challenge for the early lead when he breaks from his gate representing the Midas residency.
| 9 | KVASIR ENDAR | FR | 5M | musse4 | E Dewulf | 22 | 9 | 50% | $247,939 | 4.00 | 9/1 |
Here we have a 5 year old Light Grey Horse (KENDARGENT x DEEP IMPACT x MONTJEU ) that has made his best recent starts running in Claiming races. Two starts back he would attempt a graded start of which he would never be a factor. In his most recent trip to the track, he ran in Sweden in a $50000 Claiming race going 12 furlongs and would pick up the win on a track listed as “good”. He might be in deep water making this graded start when he heads out of the paddock representing the European Union Racing Organization residency.
| 10 | RAISE THE TITANIC | FR | 5G | plano23 | R Truitt | 22 | 7 | 59% | $1,688,844 | 160.00 | 5/1 |
Breaking from the outside gate in this race will be this 5 year old Bay Gelding (SIYOUNI x SHAMARDAL x MONSUN ) that has hit the boards in several races this season but has not found a grade win during 2025. He would make his most recent start going 12 furlongs in Paris in the G1, Ark De Comic Dog where he would have a disappointing run coming in fourteenth at the wire with a 101 speed rating. He needs to rebound after that start to challenge this field and find a win this season when he comes out at post time representing the British and European Racing Club residency.
Good luck to all owners and horses!
Skippy’s Watch List
4-Chiffo My Amigo: He looks due for a big win. Does he find it in Belgium?
5-Fifth TS: Only off the boards once this season. Can he find a graded win?
7-Tete Ritualmord: Stumbled in his most recent start. Does he rebound Saturday?
Evenly matched field… it could be any one of us!

I would agree. This is a tight field for this race, and it is anyone’s ballgame until they hit the wire for home. Good luck to all entries.
