Saddles are ‘a’ Blazin’ @ Arizona

Charmer from Galileo stables saddles up this filly who is preparing for her 7th race start here today. Her first two runs were good without setting the world on fire and she was then switched to turf and seemed to show an obvious dislike for the green stuff. Charmer then made the move up to 7F and she showed good improvement when a fast closing 2nd in a MSW posting a 77 SF. Moved up to 8F and won in very convincing fashion with a career high 84 SF and at her latest run again over the 8F she made a whirlwind run to win running away in an Anw2L. Very consistent filly who looks to be relishing the step up in distances which she again gets here today. First try at Stakes but you can be assured that master trainer charmer will have her kicking down the barn door for a big run. Good Chance.

Shamrock Stables owned by founder of the Blazing Saddles Residency, mtk, has this filly going around for substable depark. This filly was successful at first asking when winning a MSW with M. Kelly aboard. Followed that up with a 3rd against some good opposition then stepped up to 7F and won well posting a 76SF in a much improved effort. Snagged a short Stakes field in The Pink Fanfare Special and gave them a lesson in galloping when an impressive victor by 2 1/2 lengths again with a 76SF. Last time out was her toughest test to date and she hit the line hard over 7F in The Dancer Hannah Stakes to grab second and gain a career high 84SF. Trainer depark quotes “Temperamental is named that way cause her sire Corinthian was always a basket case on the track”. Mark reports that the horse is progressing nicely and is confident of a forward showing here today. She looks to be giving every indication that the rise in distance will be more of a help than a hindrance. Each Way.

Yours truly saddles up this filly who will visit the track for the fourth time here today. She was thrown into the deep end at her first start to see what she had when 4th in The Saint Rapid Challenge against the boys posting a 74SF. She then went into a MSW for fillies and won impressively and showed good closing speed over the 7.5F and posted a career high 90SF. She then ran in the prep race for this event, The I Wish I was A Skunk Stakes again against the males and in my opinion ran well as her effort was set to .95. She made late ground to finish 7th 6 lengths from the winner and returned from that race as Ready To Go. This race will be her second time against her own sex and there will be no holding back here, she has progressed nicely since the prep race and I have high hopes of this one finishing in the money.

Pepsiblue brings this filly to the track today in an attempt to claim her first Stakes Race. At her first race start she won her MSW easily against her own sex then followed that up with a fading 5th in a NW1x. Her last outing showed signs of vast improvement when a fast closing second against the males in an Alnw2L when posting a career high 81SF. She comes into this race as a bit of an underdog however she is showing improvement and may very well be suited by the rise to 8.5F. Beautifully bred and it would be no surprise to see her finish in the money here today. Each Way.

The *lol* man Meguire brings us this filly which will be her fourth trip to the races. First trip to the races she finished third in a MSW at Hong Kong posting a 65SF then next time out showed improvement to win when closing late and posting a 79SF. Her last effort was in The Forty Niner Buda, a short Stakes race where she ran ok to finish 3rd of 5 beaten 4 1/4 lengths with a 73 SF. Will need to continue to improve to trouble some of these but indicates that the extra trip will suit. Place.

Stylez Syndicate has PEOPLES COURT in this event after 2 previous race starts. First of those being a MSW where she faced a field of 13 and settled back off the pace but made good late ground to grab third and post a 73SF. Second race start resulted in a similar performance over 8F again settling well back in the field and producing a nice finishing burst to get third and post an improved 77SF. Definately looks as though the extra trip will suit here today and if the race develops into a speed duel, she could be the one to swoop over the top of them. Each way.

This filly is brought to us by blackfeld7 stables and looks to have a turf pedigree, however she has taken a liking to the dirt and is untried on the green at the moment. First race start she won impressively over 6.5F at New Zealand posting a 76SF. She then stepped up to Nw2L over 8F and showed great closing speed to just fail when second with a 81SF. Last start was again in a Nw2L over 8F where she dominated the race and won easily posting a 84SF. Makes the step up to Stakes class here today but she has earned it. Distance will suit and looks to be a good chance.

One of the most experienced runners in the field. Pilgrims Stable of horses brings us this light grey filly with 6 starts for 2 wins and 3 shows. Her first two career starts resulted in 2 thirds in MSW’s both with a 64 SF. She then had a change in riding tactics and led all the way to post a 83 SF and win convincingly over 6F. She then went on to race in an open allowance without success, however at her next start she again found the front early and held on to win a Nw3L over 8F. Her last start was in the A.P. Naskra Stakes where she couldn’t find the lead however held on well for third and posted a career high 89SF. She will probably try to find the front here again today and if thats the case she may be hard to run down. Each way.

All round good guy and self confessed chat room junkie Otistaylor brings us this interesting filly having just her second lifetime start. Ultra impressive debut when settled on the pace got to the front and just kept on going. She gave the rest of the field a lesson in galloping when winning by 5 lengths and post a monster debut SF of 86. Time will tell if this girl lives up to the wraps she has on her however winning form is good form and it would hard to fluke such an impressive victory. Must be rated highly.

Breeding guru and professional sim punter Skunkbarn has entered this daughter of Dubai Destination for a crack at the BS Best 2 year old filly title. This girl loves to lead as shown in her 3 runs to date. The first of those coming in a MSW in Dubai where she found the front easily and was just nabbed on the line when posting a 69SF. Second up she again found the front without trouble and went to the line hard held to win by 2 3/4 lengths posting a much improved and career high 79SF. Last time out in The Silver into July Bonanza she couldn’t find her favoured role and as a result faded into 5th placing. The man himself has kindly provided a quote about his filly’s chances here today: “Squall of Skunks heads to the Showdown after shipping in from Europe. The daughter of Dubai Destination broke her maiden in Dubai and battled for the early lead in a stakes race in Sweden before fading late.

Her pedigree screams distance and she will get it this week with the stretch out to a 1 1/16 mile. She will play catch me if you can. If she steals an early lead she will be tough to run down. Don’t be fooled by her speed figures, she’s been running against top notch horses in Europe and comes in fresh and on her normal race schedule. Expect her to run 87 or 88 this week. She hooked a graded stakes winner LTO who also was a front runner so her first experience against winners/stakes company was a productive one. Look for her to be sharper this week with the stretch out”. Likely leader who will be very hard to catch.

The Goosetown Stables saddles up this filly who comes in to this race with a perfect record of three from three. First outing was in a MSW over 4.5F where she showed awesome closing speed to win by 2 lengths with a 69SF. Second start she stepped up to 7.5F and again showed blistering late speed to win running away by 2 lengths with an improved 78SF. Last time out she won an Anw3L over 8F with that amazing turn of foot being the dominant factor causing her to win well by a length and a half. She has shown natural improvement in each of her starts and has got through her classes effortlessly. Deserves a crack at Stakes level and the way she is going she could very well be four from four after this race at good odds. Strong Chance.

In summary, Tough race with a lot of good fillies all kicking down the barn door to run well. I would be biased in my selections but I will pick Goosetowns horse LIBREVILLE as a roughie that has a good chance for an each way collect.

This week is probably the most anticipated and exciting week of my short time in the sim and it is all thanks to Mark and the guys over at Blazing Saddles. It’s day like these that make you proud to be the member of a Residency.
