G1, Euro Classic Final

This weekend we will be looking at a race hosted in Belgium, the G1, Euro Classic Final.  The race will go off across the firm turf and will be at the distance of 12 furlongs for those horses that are 3 years old and older.  The race has drawn a field of ten starters and oddly they are all 4 year olds.  This should be a good race on the card this weekend with what appears to be a fairly tight field.  The morning lines odds have been released, and the post positions have been drawn.  So, let’s take a quick preview of the horses that will make the start this weekend in the G1, Euro Classic Final.

Coming out first we have this Bay Gelding (PALACE PIER x DEEP IMPACT x GALILEO (IRE)) that appears to have been picked up at auction back in August of this season.  He would make his first and most recent start under new ownership going 10 furlongs in California in the G1, The Roberto Clemente.  He would make a decent first start for the new owner as he hit the wire in fourth only missing by a half stride with a 110 speed rating.  He is being sent back out this weekend to challenge at a longer distance when he heads over to the turf representing the Down Under Racing residency.

Next, we have this Brown Colt (BRICKS AND MORTAR x GALILEO (IRE) x KINGMAMBO) who is a prior graded winner from the 2023 season in the G2, The O’Neal.  He has had a few hits in graded races this season but is still seeking his first graded win.  Last time on the track he would be seen in Germany going 12 furlongs in the G1, The Europe Classic.  He would try and make a move down the final stretch but would be held off and take a second place finish at the wire with a 109 speed rating.  He gets the call to head out again this weekend and will emerge from the paddock to the cheers of an excited crowd.

This is a Light Grey Colt (KENDARGENT x DEEP IMPACT x MONTJEU) that has been doing well at the Allowance level and would move up in class three starts back to hit the boards in third in the Lock Edison Turf Stayer.  He would then pick up an Allowance win in his next race and for his most recently start jump up in class to make the start in Italy going 12 furlongs in the G1, The Jockey’s Weapon.  He would be met with much disappointment in this race and would never be a factor finishing eighth with a 101 speed rating.  The owner will be giving his horse another opportunity this weekend at a graded start when he is sent out in the post parade representing the European Union Racing Organization.

Next, we have this Brown Gelding (WORKFORCE x DYNAFORMER x DUBAI MILLENNIUM) who’s candle has been burning bright in his three most recent starts.  Three back he won the Sal Is Gone Turf Stayer and then he would get the win in the G3, Autumn Stakes.  He would make his most recent start and up the ladder he would climb again in Paris going 12 furlongs in the G2, The Paris Counsel.  He closed sharp down the stretch to get up for the win by two and a quarter with a 112 speed rating.  He is looking to make it four in a row this weekend when he heads over to his gate representing the Only Stayers residency.

This is a Light Grey Gelding (DARK ANGEL (IRE) x FRANKEL (GB) x CAPE CROSS) who has had three, second place finishes in a row and looks to be itching for a graded win.  He was second in the G2, King Kam Sepoy Stakes, and then again in the G2, Del Web Handicap.  He then made his most recent start in Victoria going 12.5 furlongs and would be making a gate to wire attempt but would get caught down the final stretch and come in second with a 109 speed rating.  He gets another shot at a G1 win this weekend when he heads over to the turf representing the All-Stars Racing residency.

Here we have a Bay Colt (OASIS DREAM (GB) x FRANKEL (GB) x NUREYEV) that has been running at the Allowance level.  He had been looking for a spot of which to get a win and he would find it in his most recent start.  He would head out in Denmark going 12 furlongs in a $20600 NW2n of which he would get a nice win by five and a half lengths with a 108 speed rating.  He is making a big leap in class for Saturday’s start and will be heading out at post time representing the Empire State Racing residency.

Next, we have this Bay Gelding (KINGMAN x KINGMAMBO x FRANKEL (GB)) of which all of this season starts have been at the graded level.  He has hit in several of these races on the boards but has yet to find a trip over to the winner’s circle.  He has a second place finish this season in the G2, Buck Dharma Handicap and a third place finish in the G1, United Country Stakes.  In his most recent start in Italy, he would go 12 furlongs in the G1, The Jockey’s Weapon.  He would again find a third place finish with a 110 speed rating.  He looks to be hunting for that trip over to the winner’s circle this season and the owner hopes this will be the trip that does it when he heads out of the paddock representing the Midas residency.

8STOPWITHTHEFABLESGB4Masrstar17J McCarthey18350%$307,8351.5017/1

This is a Bay Colt (KINGMAN x KINGMAMBO x SADLER’S WELLS) that has seen his share of struggles in some of his most recent starts and has yet to find a win this season.  Most recently he would come out in Italy going 9 furlongs in a $46500 NW4L Allowance.  He would again struggle and would never be a factor as he crossed the wire well back in seventh.  He needs to show up sharp and at the top of his game this weekend if he is going to challenge when he heads over to his post representing the All-Stars Racing residency.

Next, we will see this Bay Colt (DUBAWI (IRE) x SADLER’S WELLS x NIJINSKY 2ND) that would make the start and come in second in the G1, Equinics-Northern Dancer Stakes.  In his two most recent starts he would finish off the boards, including his most recent start in New York going 12 furlongs in the G1, Classic Turf Stakes.  He would face a yielding track that day and would have a very flat race and finish up in sixth with a 108 speed rating.  He needs a big rebounding effort after his two most recent starts and the owner is in hope to see a good performance out of him this weekend when he makes the start representing the Down Under Racing residency.

10ORO EN POLVOKY4Mhaack10T Loesch19658%$612,33746.006/1

Breaking from the final gate in this race we have this Chestnut Colt (JUSTIFY x SEEKING THE GOLD x NIJINSKY 2ND) that had been doing well in his Allowance starts and was moved up in class two starts back to run in the G1, The Champion Stakes.  He would make a closing effort, but it was only good enough for a fifth place finish.  But the owner did not give up on his horse and he would send him out for his most recent start in Victoria to go 10 furlongs in the G1, Mighty Stakes.  He showed up ready for this start and found himself thirteen lengths back at the third call.  He would turn for home and bolt down the final stretch picking off horses and get up for the win by a neck at the wire with a 111 speed rating.  He is seeking his second G1 win in a row this weekend when he is sent out at post time representing the Latinos Del Mundo residency.

Good luck to all owners and horses!
