G1 G.S.R. Diamond 2yo’s Mile on the Dirt

1. RHIBUS Owned by gradetwo 7/1. This 2yo colt is undefeated running 4 races and winning all 4. He was bred from a 7yo horse that had earned close to $5 million in dirt routing. Looks as though the genes has been passed on. Has the second highest dirt routing SP of a 92. He looks very likly he can win this as well. Currently ranked #3 in the division.

2. WARRANT TED inabred 25/1. 2yo colt by Olmadavor has raced twice on dirt at 8f, and is undefeated winning by a combined 5 1/2 lengths. As the co-longest shot in the race these might be a small chance he can do something big, looks like a closer and there’s some speed, so it can only help him.

3. WIZARD HOLLANDIA thegallery 17/1. By a somewhat unknow sire Bachelor Duke, he has run decently. Has never run 8f, however has run in two stakes races sprinting, but he has faded at the end in both, the competition might be too tough for him.

4. HUSKER DU mikehusker 10/1. Empire Maker colt has improved in each of his races. Has tried a sprint and dirt routing stakes already but has also faded in both. In those 2 races though he has been close to the pace, he usually does well when he is in midpack. If he stays midpack and shows his closing move, there’s a small chance he can do something.

5. THIS COULD BE bigblueone 11/1. Another son of Kingmambo in here. In his first two races he did ok winning both. Then he tried a G3 at 8f in his last race, but didn’t do too well coming in 6th losing by 8+ lengths. Now this being a G1 and jumping even higher in class, it doesn’t look too good.

6. DANS BEARING(GB) vipertwo 25/1. Hasn’t done that well in his first 2 races but has done decently in his last 2; winning both starts. Can he do something in here? I would have to say maybe not. The final times of his previous 2 races aren’t that great.

7. TERRORDEGA darylucla3 9/1. 2yo colt by Dixieland Band at 5(3,1,0). He has never routed, however he has a very nice closing move and with 4-5 horse probably being in a speed duel, it may very well help him win this. Just won a G1 at 7f on dirt, but is coming off close to a 2 month layoff.

8. UNAMAZINGNESS mardigras 19/1. 2yo colt by Unbridled’s Song. Kind of a different strategy here from this trainer, this colt has run twice in his life both being on turf. Winning his maiden then running a decent 2nd in a 7.5f G3 turf race. Is bred well and may take to the dirt, hard to say what he can do here.

9. DEPUTY GOLDSEEKER fairway 6/1. 2yo colt by Silver Deputy, has doen well in his 5 career races. Is coming off a 8f stakes win on dirt with a 94SP, which is the highest SP for routing in this race by anyone. He likes to be on or near the lead, but looks as though he might get pressured early and that may hurt his chance as they near the end.

10. AB FAB dolphinman 5/1. Colt by Awesome Again is the 5/1 favoritei n here. He holds the highest SP in the race with a huge 97. He has never routed however, likes to sit near the pace then make his move half way thru his races. That 97SP was sprinting and it was a wet track, so there might be a chance he could bounce here and he just really liked the wet track last time. Won a G2 three back then ran at the same distance to come in 2nd two back. I would pick against him.

11. CRYPTO FLOW kyclocker 9/1. 2yo colt by Cryptoclearance has shown good improvement since his debut, has won 3 of his last 4. His mother was a dirt sprinter, and he has never run past 7f, so there is some questions about distance. Just won a G1 at 7f with a 91SP, if he keeps on improving and takes to the 8f, I see no reason why he can’t win.

12. FERNANDO STORM fernando 8/1. 2yo colt by one of the most known sires, Storm Cat. He has never routed and looks to be a speed horse that loves to go out in front. He’ll probably need to go wire to wire to win but he has faded during his last 3 races in the stretch in G3 and G2 races. It doesn’t looks as though he can win but he can probably stay at the end to pick up a check.

13. EDITORIALIZED correction 13/1. Point Given colt has only run twice, winning his maiden then running in a G3 coming in a dissapointing 8th losing by 8+ lengths. Can’t say much here, he could probably like long distances, but it’s not certain.

14. KOORAWATHA triscay 8/1. By Fusaichi Pegasus, he has run twice as well. He came in 2nd in his maiden debut then the trainer sent him in a 8f stakes race and he won. He is also a speed horse, in that stakes he went out in front by 4+ lengths and got a little tired at the end to hold on to win by 1 1/2 lengths. I could see him grabbing piece of the pie here.

My Picks would be Rhibus to win, for second would go Crypto Flow, and third Terrordega or Ab Fab

Longshot Crypto Flow
