2 157972 BUNNY HAS HOPE(KY) bunnyluv K Friar 5/1
Bunny love can sometimes be disastrous, but bunnyluv has hope that he can bring home the 10th race feature prize. Of course bunnyluv is a Kin Kirby stable and is part of his Ojai Valley Stable empire. With the tracks best jock Bunny Has Hope tries for her 3rd win over this track. The daughter of Strong Hope has won 50k thus far and probably has much more coming to her. The bunnyluv stable has a 13.8 winning percentage, which is actually lower than the kirbster’s average.
3 135736 GUILTY PLEASURES(KY) chloedawg2 O Man 5/2
Right at home stables of the northwest racing circuit is waiting on his 300th career win today. While i’m sure he has other quality chances this weekend to win, would any such win be sweeter than winning he 10th Race Feature? Highly doubtful from my view (albeit an extremely biased view at that). Guilty Pleasures won her maiden last race. It was her first turf try after 5 semi-successful dirt attempts. She leaves California for the first time for the greener lawns of Minnesota. She has won 69k in prize money thus far.The Dixieland Band mare has a bright future if she can score here today.
4 160759 MAKESOMENOISE(IA) clooch122 K Bowen 9/1
The field’s longshot at 9/1 is MakeSomeNoise from M & J Stables. Mattclooch is a fairly new player who has compiled a 5.5 winning percentage. Matt, if you are reading this, please feel free to come join the Minnesota Residency. Had you had joined prior to this race, you would have had a shot at the prize horse! Makesomenoise has raced 5 times and has been in tehmoney in each try, all on the turf. The daughetr of Rushin to alter has earned 27k in maiden races to this point. The experience here may be her saving grace. Despite never having run with stakes caliber horses, many of today’s horses haven’t proven that they are stakes quality horses. Bowen gets the point, and that ususally indicates good things.
5 103563 A CRY FOR KIRBY(KY) kirby77 E R Cothill 3/5
King Kirby tries for the 10th race feature prize at Minnesota Downs with today’s favorite. This will be A Cry For Kirby’s first race. The daughter of Street Cry has regal lines with teh back end of her pedigree showing Giant’s Causeway X Awesome Again. He job is to bring home a new prize horse for th eking. Kirby has a 15.7 winning percentage in his Ojai Valley Stables, and a 12% wp in the kirby77 stable. Sending an unraced 2 year old to a stakes race is a typical Kirbster move, and that probably indicates some past success with the strategy.

What’s Happening in Minnesota? (repeated from last article also)
Here are the rules for the series:
MINNESOTA SIRE SERIES
This is a contest where residents must breed a horse using a specified sire (Came Home) and that runner is restricted to running in a 12 race series over 36 weeks. The races are a mix of sprints, routes, dirt and grass races. While a horse does not have to compete in all 12 races of the series to remain eligible they are limited to running in the series and will be disqualified if they race in a race outside of the contest while it is still in progress.
The chosen sire is picked by the previous contest winner and then there is a 20 week period for residents to breed there horse (3 year old).
The purse structure for the series is as follows:
RACES 1 THRU 4—$50K PURSES
RACES 5 THRU 8—$75K PURSES
RACES 9 THRU 12—$100K PURSES
The top 3 money earners at the end of the 12 race series will earn the following credit prizes.
2ND PLACE=1500 CREDITS
3RD PLACE=1000 CREDITS
Races will be held every 3 weeks and will be purchased by the residence..
entrants may replace their entry at any point in the series but will lose credit for anything earned up to that point.
———————————————————————————-
Please enter you horse in this thread. Put the Name, Sex, ID, stable to enter. Make sure you breed a three year old. The horse will turn four early into the series; so that may be something to consider when picking blood lines.
Here is the proposed racing schedule. I’ll give it a few days to see if anyone has any problems with it before actually purchasing the races:
